Review: Galenic Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate 100ml

by Tine on October 5, 2007

Okay. Before you girls laugh at me for getting this, please bear in mind that prior to getting this, I had put on a LOT of weight, and on top of the exercise I was putting in, my tummy flab wasn’t improving at all. I need something short of a miracle.

Anyways.

I bought Galenic Elancyl’s Lipo-Reducing Concentrate almost a year ago, and thought, hey, I’d do a review on this, just for you folks out there who might be contemplating on getting this too.

Galenic Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate

Description:

First slimming care developed by Elancyl’s research teams at Galenic Laboratories based on a chrono-programmed texture to fight against stubborn cellulite. One application in the morning for a progressive release of its actives over 24 hours.
Result: after 14 days up to 2.9cm reduction in thigh circumference. Efficacy reinforced after 28 days.

The concentrate comes in the form of a gel, which smells quite nice. After rubbing and massaging it only my tummy flab, I did feel the skin tighten a little.

After a month, I did notice that the skin around my tummy was a bit tighter. Of course, sit-ups helped. I just hope I wasn’t fooling myself with the concentrate. I didn’t measure my middle though, so although the skin did tighten, the flab did not seem to be any smaller :( My fatty bits must be really stubbon *grr*.

All in all, after weighing the pros and cons (no pun intended), I’m afraid I have to say NAY to this.

By the way, this is NOT a miracle zap-the-fat gel. Rubbing it on your stomach religiously every day does not make it any slimmer if you don’t exercise and eat right.

I’m not sure if this can be used post-pregnancy. Please consult your physician prior to usage.

A bottle of the Galenic Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate retails at around RM80 at Watsons or Guardian.

What I like about it: Bloody good advertising gimmick; it really convinced me that it’d work. Okay okay, to be fair, I did feel my tummy skin tighten just a tad. Does that count as a YAY?

What I did not like about it: It didn’t work *sigh*.

Haha…actually, the Elancyl Liporeducer ‘Flat Stomach’ works a lot better than the normal Elancyl gels. :)

You can get some good results with that one.
