Thank you for your review. It’s very helpful. I haven’t used EDM’s flat top brush yet. I’m very interested in it though. The official website is currently out of stock now. I found another website seems carry the exact same brush. It’s called Lovely Everything Flat Top brush. I wanna know have you tried that one, do you think they are the same?

I’ve bought the Long-Handled Kabuki from EDM, now I just need to know how to wash it properly… like, should i use shampoo or soap? Should i rub the soap/shampoo, throughly and then wash it all off, let it dry lying flat on a paper? or what? I really need help!

Saito Florence:
I bought the eye kabuki a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived today, and it’s gorgeous. Will be updating the blog soon after I try it out. EDM changed the handles to bamboo ones, which is great for the environment.

The only brush I bought from Signature Minerals is the Ultimate Kabuki and a black kabuki case. It’s fabulously soft. I washed it twice before using it, and the hairs didn’t shed. So far so good Haven’t tried the rest yet.

As for Coastal Scents brushes, I’ve read negative reviews on it, as in it’s cheaply made and sheds. But I can’t be certain as I’ve never had a CS brush.

Hi Tine, thanks for sharing.I do agree that EDM brushes are cheap,since u have brought so many of their brushes, I think I shall give it a try.Actually I am thinking getting signatureminerals brushes. What do you think of this brand? Kindly share with me

I’ve never had any problems with shedding with the EDM brushes. I did hear about the first generation brushes from EDM that shed, but the ones they sell now are very much improved. I would still recommend them

The other brushes I have and still use are the brushes by The Body Shop, which have great, value-for-money synthetic brushes. The ones I have are the older, natural-haired ones. I also have the pink makeup brush set by Elianto. The face/blush brush is great; very soft and don’t shed. Unfortunately the rest are too sparse and don’t apply well. That’s it, I think
