Products I’m Using

by Tine on February 28, 2009

Saw this at Nikki‘s, thought I’d nick it for my own :p

These are the beauty products that are part of my daily regime (except for the makeup, which I don’t wear on a daily basis). I use other products too, but these are my current favourites.

Beauty Products

Shampoo & Conditioner: Sunsilk Moisture Therapy shampoo and conditioner

Styling products: I don’t use any

Shower Gel: Johnson’s 24-Hour Moisturising Body Wash

Body moisturizer: St Ives Whipped Silk Advanced Body Moisturiser

Deodorant: Dove Go Fresh anti-perspirant

Fake Tan: No fake tan for me; I like to look as white as possible :P

Cleanser: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for the mornings, and Simple Facial Cleansing Mousse for the evenings

Eye makeup remover: Payot Demaquillant Sensation Yeux Et Levres Eye and Lip Makeup Remover

Exfoliator: Olay Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher

Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (only if I’m using foundation. On usual days it’s just tinted moisturiser)

Foundation: Clinique Superfit Makeup

Foundation brush: I don’t use a brush to apply foundation, just my fingers and a sponge wedge to blend.

Concealer: Bourjois D’un Coup de Pinceau Light-Reflecting Concealer

Powder: Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder

Blusher: Chanel Tweed Rose and NARS Deep Throat are my current faves.

Bronzer: I have yet to use bronzer; I always end up looking too brown and shimmery. I’m pathetic at applying bronzer *sigh*

Highlighter: Benefit High Beam

Eyeshadow base: Either Urban Decay’s Primer Potion or Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance (depending on my mood)

Eyeshadows: Too many to state just one. I’d say I use Bloom’s single eyeshadow in Pewter the most when I do the smokey eye look.

Eyeliner: Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil

Eyelash curler: Shu Uemura

Eyelash base: I don’t use one anymore (I used to use Shiseido Dramatical Eyes Mascara Base)

Mascara: Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Neo mascara (I’m going to do a review on this soon)

Lipstick: Lipstick Queen Medieval Tinted Treatment

Lipgloss: Far far FAR too many to choose from.

Nail colour: Kit Cosmetics nail polish. They have amazing colours.

There ya go. If you’d like me to do a review on any of the items mentioned above, just let me know. Oh, and feel free to nick this for your own too. I’d love to know what beauty products you’re currently using too.

Have fun!

Interesting so you use 2 types of cleanser for day and night, why is that? I never thought about that before but its quite interesting to know :D Ive used Cetaphil, its very gentle to the skin. Recently Ive been googling for Clarifying Shampoo since here in Malaysia they dont seem to carry Neutrogena’s Anti Residue shampoo anymore ..for styling products i love Garnier’s Anti Frizz serum. Have you ever tried Elianto’s Fake Eye Lash mascara? It really opens up the peepers :D

Rojak & Tapai:
I originally bought the Cetaphil for when I had contact dermatitis on my face due to the mineral makeup I was using. And then my husband started using it as a facial wash, so I continued to buy bottles of it. However, Cetaphil is not strong enough to remove the daily grit from makeup and dirt, so I had to get another facial wash which could. Cetaphil makes a very good morning facial cleanser, i.e. when you wake up and take a shower, as it’s very gentle.

I remembered using Pantene’s Clarifying Shampoo; don’t know if they still stock that. I’ve yet to try Elianto’s Fake Eyelash mascara. I’ve got too many to finish up first :P

Unfortunately they dont stock that shampoo over here :-( i’ll keep on looking for one :-D You’re right about Cetaphil though its not strong enough to get rid of the make up and dirt and i agree with it being gentle! Since last year my skin’s been suffering from very bad cases of spots and i do wonder why that is and in the end, ended up splurging ridiculously on facial washes that i thought would work. Since you mentioned Cetaphil i wonder if this would help. I never had problems with terrible breakouts in the past. Will buy Cetaphil when i finish up my present Neutrogena Gentle cleanser. How about toner? I noticed you did not mention it here :-D I cant wait to read your review on Majolica Majorca’s mascara.

Nikki:
You too babes :)

Daphne:
I’m on it!

Rosalind:
Thanks for doing the meme :)

Rojak & Tapai:
I use Clinique’s Clarifying Toner #3, as it does not contain any alcohol. I shall work on the review on the mascara soon :)

Rui:
I’m currently using Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. I’ve been using it for years (I started off with the lotion, but it became too rich for me) and I’ve never had any problems with it.

Ive used Clinique’s Clarifying Toner before but it was #2 as per the beauty consultant recommended, maybe i should give #3 a try once my present toner is finished ..im currently using ROC’s toner. Clinique’s CT#2 for some reason made me have tiny breakouts here and there, i had to stop using it. I have to admit Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel is pretty good for my skin too but at the moment i chose to use KIEHL’S moisturiser which seems to be agreeing with my skin. One thing which i do rave about KIEHL’S is they’re not stingy with the samples :-D

Rojak & Tapai:
I still have a lot to go with my Clinique toner (every bottle I buy lasts me well over a year. Talk about savings :P ), but once I’m done, I’m trying Kiehl’s next. Heard good reviews about them.

Tine: I’ve tried Kiehl’s packaging when I had that minor skin problem. I tried their Toner ..it was ok but i was disappointed with their packaging. The bottle is not so travel-friendly and fragile that it burst..luckily i had wrapped in a bag and then put in a zip lock bag ..the only damage it did was making my other toiletries all wet .. Kiehl’s need to do something about that tho …Im using their moisturiser and so far i like it :-) but when im done with this i’ll splurge on Eucerin next time …but 1st I want to give Kiehl’s a 6 months trial :-D

Does Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel contain any alcohol? and what is the price range?

Rojak & Tapai:
Good idea to give it a go first, at least 6 months to see if it really works for you :)

Rui:
Nope it does not. In Malaysia, I think it costs RM120 (I can’t really remember), in Australia, it’s AU$73, and in the US, it’s US$24.
