Beautyholics Anonymous Turns Three

I’m so proud to announce that Beautyholics Anonymous is celebrating its 3rd birthday this month. It’s been three wonderful years, and it really has been fun writing about health, beauty, fashion, etc. The best part of blogging for me was getting know you readers and fellow bloggers, and having the pleasure of meeting some of you in person.

Another reason to celebrate the occasion, even though it’s slightly earlier than it should be, is that I turn 30 next month. Yep, the big 3-0. πŸ˜›

Hi! I’m subscribed to your blog via Google Reader πŸ™‚

I’m from Manila, Philippines. I had school the day of my 18th birthday. I was about to exit the school when I got a phone call trying to stall me from doing so. A few minutes later my friends came running to where I was. Apparently they were supposed to ambush me! They managed to anyway and gave me a scrapbook full of people I knew (and some I didn’t) who were all holding Happy Birthday signs/messages. At the very last page, they put a picture of a guy I liked (also holding a birthday message) and drew hearts all over it. It was the sweetest thing. πŸ˜€

  3. akisa

    Hi Tine,

I just celebrated my birthday recently with my ‘new husband’ & it was a 2 month long affair, with dinner with parents during Easter, dinner at our to-be-wedding venue on the birth day itself (to taste the menu), tipping off sis-in-law to get something on my wish list (brownie points), and ended with a big night out in town (last weekend)!

    I’m totally birthday-ed out!!

  7. evieness

    Hello there!!

I’m from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and the best birthday surprise I had was during my 18th birthday when my friends came over to my place and hid in my room.
The bigger surprise was I realised their surprise and purposely took my time walking around the house before going into the room, they were so worn out from waiting so long and afraid that the candle would go off, haha!

But it was still sweet that they took so much effort to plan =)

Thanks for creating the giveaway competition =D

  8. Mel

    Hi Tine.. Happy 3rd.. (wow!)..

    I’m from Manila, Philippines..

It was my 1st birthday to celebrate in the office, way back in 2005. My boyfriend, sent me a bouquet of assorted flowers. Its fruity and suuuper sweet fragrance can reach the other aisle of my workstation.. Tell you, that smell’s really strong. It lasted for almost a week.. and my whole team’s been teasing me about it (there’s no way I can hide it, with that smell)..

It was of course a surprise.. the gesture (which is soooo out-of-his-character) is far more surprising, than the flowers actually… πŸ˜›

  9. electronicfly

Would like to send an early 18++ birthday greeting. Happy birthday!

I’m from Malaysia, and my most memorable birthday was my recent 21st πŸ™‚ Dad sponsored a nice dinner for me and my friends and family, mom surprised me with a bouquet of my favourite lilies and sis took time off work to bake me my favourite cupcakes, and deco-ed as well!

My most memorable moment would be when my friends surprised me with a party!

  11. anna fulbright

Hi I am Anna from Houston,Texas. My best and most memorable Birthday was my 23rd because it was the last Birthday I spent with my Grandmother who raised me. She brought me a beautiful Amethyst cross I still wear 16 years later. I will never forget what a wonderful woman she was, how much love she gave me and all the special memories I have.

  12. min sin

    I’m from Singapore. Roar…

My best and most memorable Birthday is at Cameron Highland with my bf. We spent a wonderful and splendid country side weekends in a most greenish, natural and refreshing place. Waking up early in the morning next to great view of highland, refreshing breeze from the mountain and lovely partner is what I get for the first thing on my birthday.

  13. Vonvon

Congrats on turning 3! And time for another Giveaway. πŸ™‚ I remember last year you had a Giveaway around this time too, as it’s near my birthday.

A memorable birthday celebration I had was last year when Hubby paid for a very very expensive dinner with all my favorite food of shark’s fin, lobster, etc etc.

One really memorable birthday was my 21st birthday. My friends surprised me with 21 gifts packed in a huge box after having to sit for a horrible paper (Yes, I hav had exam on my birthday!). It was all very heart-warming and thoughtful. I think I will remember it for life… πŸ™‚

  17. Jessica

    Hi!! Congrats on turning 3!
I’m from KL, Malaysia and one of the most memorable birthday celebrations was 2 years ago. The boyfriend took me out for a movie and instead of going for the fancy dinner that was on the itinery, I was driven to a park which was pitch black and I seriously thought that he was going bonkers with me all dressed up with heels and all. Turns out, he got all of our close friends together and they suprised me with a humongous birthday cake, flashing cameras and shouts of ‘suprise’-all done in that pitch-black park. A classic suprise party and I enjoyed it to the max!

  18. Eunice

Congrats on the 3rd anniversary and hey, I’m turning 3-0 this year too!

I’m already a subscriber of your blog πŸ˜‰ Here’s a link to a post on my vox neighbourhood: http://moonleo15.vox.com/library/post/a-great-giveaway.html

My memorable birthday has got to be the one when I was 25th. Decided to go Batam for a short getaway with my BFF. Firstly, we missed our ferry though we were like an hour early at the terminal. Then while clearing the customs at Batam, the customs officer suddenly shouted my BFF’s name when he was clearing me and both of us had a huge shock! (We wondered why he suddenly did that). He was actually asking her to come back to wish me a Happy Birthday! lol.. Last but not least, due to the delay at the customs, we missed our bus ride to the hotel we were staying! We took a later one though..

It was a hilarious day filled with misunderstandings and missing transport services. Nevertheless, we had a great laugh and that was definitely the most memorable birthday I ever had!!!

  19. Anat

    Hi Tine
I’m from Haifa,Israel. My most memorable birthday was when almost everyone forgot – my dad, my two best friends, my co-workers; I thoght that they were going to surprise me eventually, hence the silence. But I ended up having a lousy day.

    Congratulations on your 3rd…

    Anat

  20. Jessie

My most memorable birthday was my 24th, when my then boyfriend (now hubby) was working 1400 km away, but he sent me an insanely enormous red roses bouquet.

  23. Traclyn Yeoh

I’m in support to celeb the 3rd year of Beautyholics Anonymous! Hurray and congratulations~

I’m from your home country, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

My most memorable birthday to date happened about almost 2 years ago. My mother was admitted to the hospital. I had to keep myself strong and visit my mother everyday. My boyfriend was there for me. The incident made me forgotten that my birthday was near. On my birthday, my boyfriend took me for lunch before heading to the hospital. It was rather funny because he told me to dress up a little than usual. He took me to the mall and as we pass through a cafe, we bump into my best friends. We sat together for a couple of hours, have a chat and came other few more high school mates whom I haven’t seen them for sometime. They brought a cake and it was a birthday cake for me. Everything seems so ‘coincidental’ but it wasn’t. It was all set up by my best friends and my boyfriend. That was my most lifted moment for that week. All the worries has been lifted off from me and I almost cried for joy. I thank them so much for organizing such ‘coincidental’ meet up. ^.^

  24. Tina Renee

I’m an email subscriber from the USA (North Carolina)! My most memorable birthday was this year when my family and I attended a play.

    Happy blog birthday!!! Yay!!!!

  25. Kessa Thea

Hi! I’m subscribed to your blog via Email (kessathea26@gmail.com)

I am from Makati City, Philippines and my unforgettable birthday was when I turned 12. I never asked my parents for a birthday because I wanted them to send me to a science high school when I am 13 so I saved my school allowance so I can buy candies and cookies for my classmates. I had to ride my bike to go to the supermarket to get all the stuff I need. For me it was a life changing moment as I learned the value of money, responsibility and sacrifice.

Congratulations on your bloggiversary and upcoming birthday. I am having a giveaway in my blog too. Please do enter if you want. I am giving a few stuff and one of them is the limited edition Lancome Chris & Tell lipstick. πŸ™‚ http://www.littlemisskessa.com/2010/05/giveaway-alert-blog-birthday-year-2.html

Cheers to more blogging days and years ahead…

I’m from Selangor, Malaysia. My most memorable birthday was when i turned 21. A good friend of mine brought me to Genting just to spend an entire day with me, all expense paid! We’re still good friends despite not making it as a couple.

  27. stickles

I’m from Singapore, and on my 21st birthday I remember that my bf at the time got me so drunk that he had to go into the Ladies’ where I had half passed out and carry me out… all I remember from that night was people in the restaurant clapping when I finally got out lol. Not necessarily a great memory but very memorable nonetheless πŸ˜€

  28. Jasmine

I’m from Singapore and I just celebrated my 19th birthday last week. (I know, I’m young.) My most memorable birthday was when I was 18 — my girls wanted to bring me to this expensive and posh sushi place but at my call, my birthday was at my favourite and frequent haunt, MOS Burger. I love this Japanese fast food outlet! I got one of each food on the menu ordered for me. It was a very simple but memorable gesture because this year we’re all getting scattered across the world in search for the best colleges. It doesn’t take much, just the warm company of trusted friends and familiar food gets beautiful birthday feelings going.

  29. Lara

Hi Tine! You’ve put together an amazing giveaway. Congrats!

I’m from Valencia (Spain) and last September, 4 friends came all the way from the north of France to my hometown (that’s a 16+ hour drive, people!) to attend my birthday pool-party. The bad part?? It rained!! But we had an amazing time and I’ll always remember.

  30. krianne thomasson

i am krianne thomasson from south carolina (USA) and the best birthday i had was when i was 12. my little brother was 5 years old and i was having a blast. i had my friends spend the night and we had went 2 the mall earlier so i could spend my birthday money everything was going GREAT!!!! and then it came time for me 2 blow out the candles on my cake……my mom was holding my little brother…..and right as i went 2 close my eyes and blow out the candles…….he leaned over and took a big old chunk outta my birthday cake and threw it at me…….it wasent funny @ the time obviously….but looking back on that…..i think it is pretty dang funny!!!!lol

  31. amber_

I’m Amber from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia πŸ™‚

My most memorable birthday was my 17th. i was still in high school then. my bunch of besties threw me a surprise. they stuffed my locker (which i shared with another friend, so obviously this lockermate of mine is part of the ‘consipiracy’) with balls of newspaper and many other junks which i couldn’t recall. when the bell rang and i opened my locker, all the newspaper balls came bursting out, rolled onto my feet and strewn everywhere across the corridor. then my friends started yelling HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! it was right at the end of school hours, so you can imagine hundred pairs of eyes looking at us and the mess we’ve created. i pretended to be angry at such arrangement and for the mess they’ve created but deep down i was so touched beyond words and will always remember their deed. they gave me my fave (back then) Taiwanese boyband, 5566’s latest album. thinking back… this is hilarious!

  36. Renz

    Hi Tine,

    I’m from Malaysia.

    HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY!!~~

    My most memorable birthday?
Is last year! As I was pregnant..(yes, my last bday as a non-mother) we couldn’t go anywhere or do anything much, thus I was pretty down, and my husband surprised me with taking leave from work, spending the whole day with me and even threw in a surprise candlelight dinner and bath for me. Though its something simple, but it’ll be quite some time til we can spend time together, just the 2 of us, when the baby pops out.

Thus to me, it was pretty significant.

  37. N

My most memorable birthday was last year for my 20th, I celebrated in style with all my friends from both High school and University. My bf surprised me with a designer cake by Delectable (Gardens, KL)and it turned out everyone was keeping me preoccupied while he organised the delivery.

    Melbourne,Australia.

  38. Dee

Hi! I’m from Atlanta, currently a student in Baltimore. my most memorable birthday was awhile ago, my 19th actually. My birthday is during the summer so all my college friends are usually out of town and I end up celebrating alone, but my bestie went through all this effort to wrangle my friends into town and surprised me after an absolutely awful time at work, and i burst into tears in front of my entire party!! It’s my birthday I can cry if I want to! πŸ˜›

  39. Carol L

Thank you for the give away!
My name is Carol and I am from California. My most memorable bday was last year when the bf had a surprise dinner for me at a cute Italian place. It was in an alley way full of other Italian restaurants and it was all outside seating. It was so romantic. I felt like i was in Italy.

  40. Lina

    Hi Tine,

Firstly happy 3rd birthday to this blog. I’m from Malaysia and already a subscriber to you via email.

My most memorable birthday would have to be my 21st birthday. I was away studying overseas so no family around. To make it a special occasion my house mates organised a joint celebration with another friend and we had a simple party at home with all our close friends. Home cooked pot luck food, fun games, awesome fellowshipping. Just a really simple and cosy time of bonding.

  41. Ling Tung

Wowee…so many comments! The beauty goodies look so tempting LOL
Anyway, congrats on your 3rd birthday…

For me, my most memorable birthday would be my 21st birthday – it was just a lovely time with lovely friends and family in a huge party – with say 100-150 people. It was lovely cos my cousin made me a beautiful purple gown…i felt like a princess…but then at the end of the night, I vomited from alcohol consumption…and clogged up my friends kitchen sink! OOPS!

  42. anin

  43. alana

The best birthday i ever got was when i was still in uni, staying with my sis. it was during the exam period. i was still having my exams then but my sister had finished hers. i was upstairs studying while she was downstairs watching tv. halfway studying, i could smell something really nice coming from downstairs. And she was surprisingly very quiet downstairs, even though she was watching tv. so i sneaked downstairs to see what she was actually doing and she was baking a birthday cake for me— fresh from the oven and in the middle of frosting the sugar on top of the cake with my name on it!!!!!! Best surprise birthday cake ever!!!

  44. alana

ooopppsss..i forgot to say when i’m from.
    I’m from Melbourne!!!

  45. Hyzenthlay

    I subscribe with Google Reader.

My birthday story is one that will last for the rest of my life: I turned 20 while away at college. My parents lived about 4 hours away, and my grandmother about 1 hour away. I was at a Friday afternoon IM soccer practice when I saw two people walking across the field who looked like my parents. I ran over to them yelling “What the hell are you doing here?!?!” I am (and always have been) a straight-laced person, and that was VERY out of character for me. They thought it was hilarious, luckily! They told me that they were just stopping by to say hi, as they were on their way to see my grandmother. I asked if they wanted to stay for dinner, but they said they really had to continue on their way. So we finished practice, and a bunch of us headed back to our apartment . . . when we got there, my parents were there! I was so confused πŸ™‚ They took a whole bunch of us out to dinner and spent a few hours with me the next day. It was wonderful πŸ™‚

  46. Catherine

I’m from the US and a memorable birthday moment for me was when there was an earthquake during my birthday tea party this year! My first earthquake too! Luckily it was pretty small by the time it got to us (the epicenter was about 4 hours away) and nothing fell over except for a pitcher of tea (which luckily a friend of mine caught before it actually spilled).

  47. Jess

Hello I’m a subscriber through email.

I’m from Malaysia but currently studying in Sydney. My most memorable birthday was a few years back when I had hotpot dinner with a huge group of friends at my place in the middle of winter.

  48. Lydia

Congrats! I’m an email subscriber πŸ™‚

I’m from Singapore and one of my most memorable birthday was this year, when i had received my school results πŸ™‚ Cause it was really stressful waiting for the mailman to mail the results to me. Thank goodness the result’s positive! if not it’ll be the most unmemorable birthday. πŸ˜‰

  49. Eileen

Hai..I’m Eileen from Sabah,Malaysia. My most memorable birthday party is when i’m in form 4. My parents throw a birthday party at the beach. We had BBQ and i’m so happy that all my best friend came to celebrate with me. We also took a lot photo that day and it also my last birthday party. I never celebrate my birthday until now.

  50. Elena

I’m currently living in London but born in Japan, raised in the US. My most memorable birthday to date was when my partner bought me tickets to see Daft Punk in Kobe, Japan. We danced all night had a few drinks and retired to the hotel. I love music and I love dancing so it was great to be surrounded by friends and great music. However, I also turn 30 this year and have a feeling that my best birthday memory might be eclipsed. A bunch of friends and I made a pact to go to Vegas the year of our 30th. We were all born in 1980, so this summer I am meeting up with them!!

  51. Lilian

Last year, my friends knocked on my hostel door at midnight. I was shocked. They were here with a handmade card and a cake for me. Although it was exams period, they had sacrificed their time to celebrate my birthday. I was very touched.

  52. Penny

    Congrats congrats!

I’m from Singapore (: For my 20th bday, my friend’s staked out at a secret playground I hang out at midnight. My boy bought me there like nothing happened while my friends jumped out from behind the bushes with a cake! I was so damn happy! (On hindsight, I think I heard them giggle in the dark haha)

  53. Isabel

Birthday wishes and many happy returns from Malaysia!

4 years ago, I reached home from KL just past midnight (in the wee hours of my birthday). Dead tired, I could barely greet my parents before dragging myself to my room with the full intention of collapsing into bed. I switched the lights on and there was my brother who had arrived home from Australia while I was away, grinning his head off! Best gift I could ask for especially since I’d not seen from for 3 years then.

  54. tulip

hi, rss feed subscriber from singapore here. i dont celebrate birthdays so i dont’ve a truly memorable one to share, but i have a memory from when i was very young, >15 years ago or sth? i just woke up and my parents surprised me with a candlelit cake on the dining table. thinking back, simple things can be such great joy πŸ™‚

  56. Cindy

Hi, congrats. 3rd anniversary and big 3-0. Quite a milestone.

I hardly have any birthday celebrations nowadays with 2 school going children, a house to look after and a business to run. Do not have much energy left.

I am from Singapore. Anyhow I still remember 1 birthday celebration that I had when we still do not have any kids yet. My husband made me a birthday card. Though it was just a simple card, more like a small booklet depicting our years of courtship and marriage etc.. it was the 1st item that he had ever hand-made. It told him a whole day to complete it. I was touched. πŸ™‚

  57. Kristie

Hi! My 1st time here, u have a lovely blog πŸ™‚ Happy 3rd birthday!

    Ok, I’m from Selangor, Malaysia.

My most memorable birthday has to be the 1st time my baby boy, Jayden was with me to celebrate this special occasion. Many firsts, 1st time mummy, 1st time daddy and our 1st child, a bundle of joy from God. His presence alone was enough. No fanciful or lavish dinners to commemorate this special day of mine. Jayden was all we needed πŸ™‚

  58. Melody

I’m Melody from Vancouver, Canada, and I love your blog!
My most memorable birthday…was probably this past one, because it was right during the Vancouver Winter Olympics! I went to see the torch and speed skating and everything…and I was born in 1994, the year the Vancouver Canucks won the Stanley Cup, so I guess that one’s memorable too in a different way! XD

  59. Jacqueline

I’m from the United States, and my most memorable birthday was when my wonderful friends surprised me with gifts and a cake when I thought that they had forgotten!

birthdays have always been memorable since i got married because that’s when the hubby starts forgetting them !

i know, he deserves a kick in the butt ( x the number of birthdays he has forgotten ) but actually, i’m okay with it. ONLY because i made him pay for it ( value must be jacked up due to his neglect ) and I can’t complain because this is much better than if he actually remembers it ! hahahhahahahah

    Happy 3rd blog Birthday!!

I’m from Melbourne! =)) My most memorable birthday was when I was stuck in extra classes for my upcoming exams, only to be pulled out by my friends to have a surprise homemade carrot cake(my fav) for me hidden in the home economics kitchen. =)

  62. Amy

    I’m from Perth. πŸ™‚
My most memorable birthday was when my aunty decided to do a surprise birthday 2-layer dark chocolate cake. She didn’t wait for the 1st layer to cool down before putting on the 2nd layer. Thus came a big hole in the middle of cake. So she has to do a 3rd layer to hide the hole. Problem was the cake was so heavy with 3 layers that it started leaning towards the left. Then my aunt asked my cousin to punch the cake more to the right. How do I know this? Because my mum came giglling like a little girl to my house and telling me that my aunty was preparing a birthday cake and that Mum was told that it was a secret. So next day, I pretended to be surprised and just before cutting the cake, I whispered mischievously to my aunty “Hmm, is it me or is that cake not straight?”. My aunty sighed “don’t talk to me about it” LOL before I told her that I perfectly knew.

Note:Mum never can keep secrets. She will tell people that it is a secret and that she’s not supposed to say it πŸ˜›

i’m from malaysia and my most memorable birthday would be when i had an early celebration with my boyfriend. we didn’t do much – just walked around hand-in-hand. what made it sweet was that we are in a long-distance relationship and that we try to celebrate our birthdays together when we can.

  64. Wey Yen

First of all, Happy 3rd Birthday!!

The most memorable birthday for me was three years ago, my parents, sisters purposely made a trip from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate my 33rd birthday! My hubby and I were so touch as they prepared a cake n some pressie for me cos I have not had birthday cake for few years cos hubby always not around during my birthday!! The best thing is I am awaiting for my pregnancy confirmation so I was very happy on that day cos its just like celebration of the good news!! True enough, the next day we’ve got our confirmation and now my boy just like your birthday – 3 years old!! πŸ™‚

  71. Melissa

I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My most memorable birthday occassion was the year when my cousin and some of my church friends came to surprise me at 12am midnight, I was in my pajamas and nerdy specs, super unglam but totally caught me off guard!

  72. Xindi

  73. Sylvia

I’m from Melbourne, and for my 21st birthday, my friend bought me tickets to the concert of my favourite singer! It was such a wonderful night!

  74. Shabwouina

My most memorable birthday was two years ago. I was with some friends on DisneyLand Paris, in a restaurant, can’t remember the name.. the one with elephant etc… Then, at the dessert, waiters started to sing “happy birthday to youuu”, they were holding the biig cake, with a lot of ice cream and cookies…i was so so so surprised…. i didn’t except that.. Everybody on the restaurant was looking at me, i was sooooo intimidated >__<
I wish it was Mickey Mouse who sings me happy birthday.. but yeah, waiters, that's cool too !! <3

  75. Maria Barnet

Happy 3rd (and 30th) birthday! On my 30th birthday, my friends took me out to an awesome Mexican restaurant. It has Christmas decorations up all year round and there were Mariachi musicians playing that night. The whole evening was Mexican food, Mariachi music and plenty of Margaritas. What made it amazing though was being with all my friends, and being able to share my happiness with all of them!

  76. Karen

Hi! I’m a subscriber through the RSS feed reader. Thanks for doing this giveaway! Congrats on hitting 3!
I think my most memorable birthday was a couple years ago when my whole family actually forgot my birthday until later that day. They all felt so bad that they made up for it that night by taking me to a nice restaurant and celebrating my birthday for the next few days after. hehe. guilt does wonders doesn’t it?

  77. Stephanie

Hi there, I am from Selangor, Malaysia.

It had been ages that someone has throw me a birthday party or suprises. But a memorable one would be last year where 2 of my beloved sis sent me a HUGE and RICH chocalate cake to me office via a POST MAN! This is the first time I receive a cake this way!

  78. Sue Wong

Hi there, I’m from KL, Malaysia

Wana wish a happy 3 years of bloggie birthday to u =D

My most memorable birthday was when I turned 21! I know, it’s slightly a while back =p, but it’s was such a blessing to me. I remember that time I was still in uni in Gippsland, Australia, and friends from Melbourne city drove 2 hours over to celebrate my birthday the night before. Lovely indeed. Guess what, this was followed by a bbq session with a bunch of my church mates at my pastors place the very next day after church, with heaps of food and pressies!

I thought it’s the end, but another friend drove all the way to the city to get me a lovely chocolate mousse cake and came over to my house to surprise me for the nite… Oh my, such surprises are such blessings aint it =D

Lastly, on the following day, after a meeting with the international student association where I was a committee, one of my closest friend, who does not know how to bake, actually surprised me with a oh so yummilicious walnut cake that she baked herself.

That, I have to say, was the most memorable birthdays I’ve ever had up to date. I remember feeling so loved and so cared for =D

  79. Samantha

    Hi Tine, congrats!

    I’m a true blue Melbournian!

My most memorable birthday? Hmm, I guess it would have to be my sweet sixteenth, back in the golden days of Year 9 when we thought we were at the top of the world.

It wasn’t much. We were at a sleepover and at about midnight, one of my friends brought in a cake and we stuffed our faces (very bad, I know) by candlelight. Not a pretty sight, but we stayed awake into the early hours of the next morning, gossiping like teenagers in American chick flicks.

    Anyway, congrats again~

  103. Jeslyn

Hey there, I’m Jeslyn from Malacca and I subscribed through email.

For me, the most memorable birthday will be my 21st Birthday. I was in Genting Highlands together with my BFFs. We were actually walking around indoor and just half and hour before it struck midnight, two of my BFFs said they want to get something on the hotel room. They forbid me to enter the room before midnight because they kind of suspect that I know they will be celebrating for me.lol

I do guess maybe they went to buy cake and those cheat and trap and boo..happy birthday that kind. But when I entered the hotel room at midnight, guess what.. they actually decorated the whole room with colorful balloons on the wall writing ‘Happy 21st Birthday Jeslyn’ one alphabet, one balloon with a marker pen and yes, they blow the balloons all by themselves. They surprised me with those party popped up thingy and also a super lovely cake that they rushed to buy. In 30 minutes they rush to do so many stuff just for me. And their hands were like injured due to the fact that they do not know how to tie up the balloons manually and they couldn’t find rubber bands and they ended up scratching their own hands. I am so touched back then. They are my super lovely girls and they made this day to be super memorable for me.

  104. cece

    Hello !

Thank you so much for this giveaway, it’s amazing ! I come from Switzerland (so excuse my English if it’s not perfect ^^).

I never really had a great birthday… Last year, I turned 18, so it was finally the majority, and ma mother organised me a garden party with all my family, but it was not so great after all, I didn’t have the impression they came all to see me and to celebrate my birthday, but juste to see each other… I am a teentager right between adults and children, and it’s boring sometimes… And this was here that I present my boyfriend to all my family, and then he left me 3 days after… So it was finally a horrible birthday, and the other weren’t so great either.
But I turn 19 in 10 days (yeah !!!) and I hope it will be better than last year, wich will be sur if I win your contest ! I hope so…

Thank you for organising this giveway =)

    Hello πŸ™‚

WOW! First, I want to cingratulate you and your blog πŸ™‚

I’m from Cainta, located in the lovely island of Philippines πŸ™‚ Hmm, my most memorable birthday celebration would be my 18th birthday. Aside that, I have thought of myself as somehow an independent woman, my parents really made an effort to at least give me a special birthday celebration. It is not a grand and fabulous debut. It was more of an intimate celebration with friends and relatives. They also worked hard on having a fine dining caterer for the event. I am really touched, since I was just thinking of a dinner with them, then going out with friends to celebrate.

“Look no further – the love of your father and mother is not shown by how much you get from them. But by how hard they try to provide you with what would really matter in your heart”

It was memorable because I felt very loved even if I wasn’t present at the event.

I’m from Greece, and my fav birthday memory was when my friends had planned a surprise birthday party at the university because my b-day was on the last day of the exams.Needless to say even some professors showed up πŸ™‚
    Thanks!

Hiya! Congrats on a 3rd bday! Very cool! Am a new follower with this email but have been following for a long time via another one. Confusing I know.

Anyway, my bday memory is this year’s! I went for a lovely party (not mine) and then had Japanese dinner at my fave restaurant with family, then went home only to be surprised by my “busy that night” friends with cake and pressies! And so happens the maid recognized them so they were already inside the house. Sigh, I had a fright!

Looking forward to more years of blog posts! Cheers!
