Last year, my friends knocked on my hostel door at midnight. I was shocked. They were here with a handmade card and a cake for me. Although it was exams period, they had sacrificed their time to celebrate my birthday. I was very touched.
Congrats congrats!
I’m from Singapore (: For my 20th bday, my friend’s staked out at a secret playground I hang out at midnight. My boy bought me there like nothing happened while my friends jumped out from behind the bushes with a cake! I was so damn happy! (On hindsight, I think I heard them giggle in the dark haha)
Birthday wishes and many happy returns from Malaysia!
4 years ago, I reached home from KL just past midnight (in the wee hours of my birthday). Dead tired, I could barely greet my parents before dragging myself to my room with the full intention of collapsing into bed. I switched the lights on and there was my brother who had arrived home from Australia while I was away, grinning his head off! Best gift I could ask for especially since I’d not seen from for 3 years then.
hi, rss feed subscriber from singapore here. i dont celebrate birthdays so i dont’ve a truly memorable one to share, but i have a memory from when i was very young, >15 years ago or sth? i just woke up and my parents surprised me with a candlelit cake on the dining table. thinking back, simple things can be such great joy

Hi, congrats. 3rd anniversary and big 3-0. Quite a milestone.
I hardly have any birthday celebrations nowadays with 2 school going children, a house to look after and a business to run. Do not have much energy left.
I am from Singapore. Anyhow I still remember 1 birthday celebration that I had when we still do not have any kids yet. My husband made me a birthday card. Though it was just a simple card, more like a small booklet depicting our years of courtship and marriage etc.. it was the 1st item that he had ever hand-made. It told him a whole day to complete it. I was touched.
Hi! My 1st time here, u have a lovely blog
Happy 3rd birthday!
Ok, I’m from Selangor, Malaysia.
My most memorable birthday has to be the 1st time my baby boy, Jayden was with me to celebrate this special occasion. Many firsts, 1st time mummy, 1st time daddy and our 1st child, a bundle of joy from God. His presence alone was enough. No fanciful or lavish dinners to commemorate this special day of mine. Jayden was all we needed
I’m Melody from Vancouver, Canada, and I love your blog!
My most memorable birthday…was probably this past one, because it was right during the Vancouver Winter Olympics! I went to see the torch and speed skating and everything…and I was born in 1994, the year the Vancouver Canucks won the Stanley Cup, so I guess that one’s memorable too in a different way! XD
I’m from the United States, and my most memorable birthday was when my wonderful friends surprised me with gifts and a cake when I thought that they had forgotten!
ni hao ! I’m writing from a tiny town called Sibu and man, is that one crazy bag of goodies ! :-p
birthdays have always been memorable since i got married because that’s when the hubby starts forgetting them !
i know, he deserves a kick in the butt ( x the number of birthdays he has forgotten ) but actually, i’m okay with it. ONLY because i made him pay for it ( value must be jacked up due to his neglect ) and I can’t complain because this is much better than if he actually remembers it ! hahahhahahahah
Happy 3rd blog Birthday!!
I’m from Melbourne! =)) My most memorable birthday was when I was stuck in extra classes for my upcoming exams, only to be pulled out by my friends to have a surprise homemade carrot cake(my fav) for me hidden in the home economics kitchen. =)
I’m from Perth.
My most memorable birthday was when my aunty decided to do a surprise birthday 2-layer dark chocolate cake. She didn’t wait for the 1st layer to cool down before putting on the 2nd layer. Thus came a big hole in the middle of cake. So she has to do a 3rd layer to hide the hole. Problem was the cake was so heavy with 3 layers that it started leaning towards the left. Then my aunt asked my cousin to punch the cake more to the right. How do I know this? Because my mum came giglling like a little girl to my house and telling me that my aunty was preparing a birthday cake and that Mum was told that it was a secret. So next day, I pretended to be surprised and just before cutting the cake, I whispered mischievously to my aunty “Hmm, is it me or is that cake not straight?”. My aunty sighed “don’t talk to me about it” LOL before I told her that I perfectly knew.
Note:Mum never can keep secrets. She will tell people that it is a secret and that she’s not supposed to say it
happy birthday and good luck to the lucky winner!
i’m from malaysia and my most memorable birthday would be when i had an early celebration with my boyfriend. we didn’t do much – just walked around hand-in-hand. what made it sweet was that we are in a long-distance relationship and that we try to celebrate our birthdays together when we can.
I’m from Malaysia. My most memorable birthday was when I was 14, I spent my birthday in an Adam Khoo conference rather in school. Nothing big, but definitely memorable.. HAHA.
I subscribe with Google Reader too.
I’m from Penang, most memorable birthday was when I was in the Philippines with a bunch of close friends on a partially uni sponsored trip for a tourney. It was a combination of singing & dancing on the dancefloor, lots of bloody mary, a round of tacos & nachos and a post-partying burger session right after.
wowwww that’s a lot of stuff given away! XD
i’m from the canada where maple syrup is a staple (joking!! it’s not!!) my most memorable bday was the one held by le bf where he planned and organized/cooked everything including cleanup!! (it was a huge bbq :p)
Hie,

I’m from Singapore. My most memorable birthday is probably the year I turned 18 and my best friend in Junior College (who is still my best friend now, 5 years down the road!) made for me a scrapbook of sorts and got literally everyone whom I knew to pen down some sort of coming-of-age message for me.
Anyhow, happy 3rd birthday to a great blog!

Hi, I am from your home country, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia!
First of all, Happy 3rd Birthday!!
The most memorable birthday for me was three years ago, my parents, sisters purposely made a trip from Melaka to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate my 33rd birthday! My hubby and I were so touch as they prepared a cake n some pressie for me cos I have not had birthday cake for few years cos hubby always not around during my birthday!! The best thing is I am awaiting for my pregnancy confirmation so I was very happy on that day cos its just like celebration of the good news!! True enough, the next day we’ve got our confirmation and now my boy just like your birthday – 3 years old!!
I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My most memorable birthday occassion was the year when my cousin and some of my church friends came to surprise me at 12am midnight, I was in my pajamas and nerdy specs, super unglam but totally caught me off guard!
I’m from Melbourne, and for my birthday, my boyfriend booked an expensive dinner date at Crown’s followed by a Gold Class screening of Mama Mia. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
I’m from Melbourne, and for my 21st birthday, my friend bought me tickets to the concert of my favourite singer! It was such a wonderful night!
My most memorable birthday was two years ago. I was with some friends on DisneyLand Paris, in a restaurant, can’t remember the name.. the one with elephant etc… Then, at the dessert, waiters started to sing “happy birthday to youuu”, they were holding the biig cake, with a lot of ice cream and cookies…i was so so so surprised…. i didn’t except that.. Everybody on the restaurant was looking at me, i was sooooo intimidated >__<
I wish it was Mickey Mouse who sings me happy birthday.. but yeah, waiters, that's cool too !! <3
Happy 3rd (and 30th) birthday! On my 30th birthday, my friends took me out to an awesome Mexican restaurant. It has Christmas decorations up all year round and there were Mariachi musicians playing that night. The whole evening was Mexican food, Mariachi music and plenty of Margaritas. What made it amazing though was being with all my friends, and being able to share my happiness with all of them!
Hi! I’m a subscriber through the RSS feed reader. Thanks for doing this giveaway! Congrats on hitting 3!
I think my most memorable birthday was a couple years ago when my whole family actually forgot my birthday until later that day. They all felt so bad that they made up for it that night by taking me to a nice restaurant and celebrating my birthday for the next few days after. hehe. guilt does wonders doesn’t it?
Hi there, I am from Selangor, Malaysia.
It had been ages that someone has throw me a birthday party or suprises. But a memorable one would be last year where 2 of my beloved sis sent me a HUGE and RICH chocalate cake to me office via a POST MAN! This is the first time I receive a cake this way!
Hi there, I’m from KL, Malaysia
Wana wish a happy 3 years of bloggie birthday to u =D
My most memorable birthday was when I turned 21! I know, it’s slightly a while back =p, but it’s was such a blessing to me. I remember that time I was still in uni in Gippsland, Australia, and friends from Melbourne city drove 2 hours over to celebrate my birthday the night before. Lovely indeed. Guess what, this was followed by a bbq session with a bunch of my church mates at my pastors place the very next day after church, with heaps of food and pressies!
I thought it’s the end, but another friend drove all the way to the city to get me a lovely chocolate mousse cake and came over to my house to surprise me for the nite… Oh my, such surprises are such blessings aint it =D
Lastly, on the following day, after a meeting with the international student association where I was a committee, one of my closest friend, who does not know how to bake, actually surprised me with a oh so yummilicious walnut cake that she baked herself.
That, I have to say, was the most memorable birthdays I’ve ever had up to date. I remember feeling so loved and so cared for =D

Hey babe, I’m from Singapore!
Hmm, the most memorable birthday will be that my dad is able to be back in Singapore to celebrate it with me. As he’s always out station and stuff, I hardly get to see him. However thank God that he was able to be back that time to celebrate my 18th birthday and it was a blast! All my relatives and friends were there, how enjoyable!

My most memorable birthday? Hmm, I guess it would have to be my sweet sixteenth, back in the golden days of Year 9 when we thought we were at the top of the world.
It wasn’t much. We were at a sleepover and at about midnight, one of my friends brought in a cake and we stuffed our faces (very bad, I know) by candlelight. Not a pretty sight, but we stayed awake into the early hours of the next morning, gossiping like teenagers in American chick flicks.
Anyway, congrats again~
