The Beauty of STEAMCREAM

Steam Cream

So, what’s with all that hype about STEAMCREAM? It’s a big thing in the UK, and the aluminium jars of cream are selling like hotcakes. It’s about time I know what it’s all about, no?

Long story short, pure, unrefined steam is used to to produce a soft, luxuriant and glossy cream. The vegan-friendly, multipurpose cream can be used on the body and face. You can read more about their steam process here.

Personally, I think what draws people to the cream are the super funky jars they’re in. They’re eco-friendly, designed in Japan, and decorated with limited edition collectible designs. And best of all, they’re only 10 pounds each. Cheap as chips, if you ask me.

Steam Cream Flower Garden

Mine is the Flower Garden. Apparently the limited edition designs on the lid are ever changing. Once a design is sold out, it never comes back, so the tin becomes a collectable work of art. How cool is that?

The cream is light in texture and beautifully glossy. You would think it’s a luxurious, expensive cream if packaged differently. It’s not greasy and absorbs onto the skin well.

The fragrance smells a bit, powdery, if that’s the word for it. It’s fine when used on my body, but I found it a tad overpowering for the face. For now, it’s going on my body, and I love it.

To be honest, I was more interested in the cute tin than the cream 😛 But really, for 10 quid (which is, presently, about AU$16), you get the gorgeous collectable tin AND a beautiful cream. Can’t go wrong, eh?

Each jar of STEAMCREAM retails at AU$24.95 for 75g and is available at Kit Cosmetics. I purchased mine from FeelUnique.com, which sells the STEAMCREAM at 10 pounds each. With free shipping, it only came up to about AU$16. Score!

The pretty tulip one is new! My best friend gave me a tin with little goldfish all over it. It’s sitting prettily on my office table. I confess to rolling it around the table whenever I am stuck with work.

Plue gave me a sample of it some time ago and I was using it on my face. The scent’s definitely strong for the face. Now I have my own tin (Union Jack) and hv been using it on my dry shins. Pretty good stuff so far and the scent’s great for a body cream
