The Last Time I …

Garden Roses

I “borrowed” this from Felicity, who “borrowed” it from Mia, who asked Zoe these questions in a video chat. Sharing is caring, no?

Was jealous:
My friends who are always jetsetting to Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, US, etc definitely got my green-eyed monster out for a bit. Sad, shameful but true.

Up

Cried:
Watching the first few minutes of “Up”, when they showed the scene of the old man with the love of his life, growing up together, growing old together, holding hands when they read together, and in the end, his wife passed on and he was sitting in the church alone with balloons in his hand. I cannot remember the last time I watched such a beautiful and poignant scene. It just broke my heart. Yes, a cartoon broke my heart.

Was Drunk:
I’m proud to say that to this day, I’ve never been drunk. No, it’s not because I can hold my alcohol well; it’s just that I don’t drink much in one sitting. I’ve been high as a kite yes, walked crooked yes, but pissed-out-of-my-mind, puking-all-over-the-car drunk, no.

Overspent:
Erm, October surely. Bought a leather wallet, a Clarisonic Plus, clothes, an Amazon Kindle, books, etc. No more! (erm, for this month, at least)

Was inspired:
Believe it or not, blogs (well, most of the ones I read anyway) inspire me. People’s stories, beautifully snapped photographs, shared recipes, etc. It continues to amaze me how resilient people can be, when faced with adversities (and then they bravely blogged about it). Getting the opportunity to meet the people behind their blogs. Whoever said blogging is a dying media needs to get their heads seriously checked.

Watched the sunrise:
A few months ago, Tim and I were driving along the north coast of Tasmania. We got off the Spirit of Tasmania at 6.30am, and we managed to catch the sunrise as we were on the road. Beautiful!

Made a huge mistake or did something I regret:
I don’t think there were any really big mistakes, but sometimes I do find myself jumping the gun every so often without waiting to see if things pan out. My enthusiasm gets the better of me, and sometimes I wished I would have just kept my big mouth shut. On the other hand, sometimes I also regret NOT opening my mouth when I should have.

Listened to my gut:
Not going back to the corporate world was one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made and to this day, I’ve never regretted it. Despite what my family thinks.

Fell in love:
I fall in love with almost every dog I see. Tsk tsk. No? Then the Amazon Kindle then. E-ink is the bomb! No? Okay okay, to risk sounding bloody corny, (almost) daily with my husband.

oh I love the pretty roses in your garden 🙂
I was a wooz in Up too and I hate watching that with anyone, lest they see me melt into a heap of a mess.

I haven’t seen the sunrise for such a long time now, hopefully the warmer weather will induce me to get up earlier to see its beauty.

I think I overspend every month as I haven’t followed my budget for the last 5 month 😐
