Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

I have quite unfortunate hair. It’s terribly frizzy after a wash, and heaven forbid anyone but my husband to see me the next morning when my hair would look something like this πŸ˜›

Diana Ross

It’s the genes really; my mum has incredibly thick and coarse hair, my dad has even thicker and coarser hair. So when it came to me, I hit a double jackpot πŸ˜›

Thus, an almost daily use of a flat iron is required Β (unless I have it properly straightened at the hair salon, which I’m not keen on as it makes my hair look incredibly flat and lifeless). After straightening my hair, a smoothing serum is a must to tame the flyaway hairs.

I was recommended Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny Serum by a shop assistant at Hairhouse Warehouse. This is cheaper per ml in comparison to the Joico K-Pak Style Protect & Shine Serum I’ve been using for a year.

My impression of the smoothing serum is that it’s quite runny, and not as thick as most smoothing serums I know. Regardless, it did a wonderful job in smoothing my hair after treating it with the flat iron, and gave it a lovely shine. Since it’s quite oily, you only need a tiny pump of the serum for hair length as mine, which is a few inches past the shoulders.

Oh, and this smoothing serum smells absolutely wonderful. For 150ml, this should last me well over a year. All in all, two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I bought Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny Serum for $25.15 for 150ml at Hairhouse Warehouse at Melbourne Central. This is also available at other Hairhouse Warehouse outlets, Price Attack, and certain hair salons.

I totally know how it feels to have THICK unmanageable hair – that’s why I got mine rebonded in Msia. Crazy humidity does crazy things to crazy hair lol. But yeah, Hair Warehouse is pretty good – I went in there and the assistant recommended some Joico shampoo and conditioner for my rebonded hair. May try Paul Mitchell some day πŸ™‚

I’m getting frizzy hair thanks to the desert heat up here! I think I’ll have to pick up this serum on my next trip back to Melbourne.

p/s: hope we can catch up then!
