The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend – The Goodie Bags

This is the last post on the ABBW 2011, I promise πŸ™‚

Prior to the ABBW, all beauty bloggers flying in to Sydney were advised to bring as little as possible, a big bag and to check our luggage in. I packed minimally for the weekend, using as much sample sachets as I could. My luggage to Sydney was 1 bag (14kg) with no carry-ons.

I came home with 22.7kg of checked in luggage, and 7kg in an additional carry-on bag.

The amount of stuff we received at the ABBW was overwhelming to say the least. The sponsors were incredibly generous and plied us with so many goodies that it really was a feat trying to pack them in. I had to sit on my luggage in order to close it!

So here you go. The loot πŸ˜›

gosh! i’m impressed! have fun trying out the gifts! meanwhile, i’ll be playing around with some face of australia products that i bought since i read your reviews. πŸ™‚

Km: Cool! I’m a big fan of Face of Australia products. It’s funny how I never bothered with them before when I made my usual homage to the drugstore mecca (ie Priceline), but after I tried out their mineral foundation and primer, I was kicking myself silly for not bothering earlier!

I’m so glad I had to chance to see the stash in person. Remember how I went slack-jawed? πŸ˜€

You should rename your post to: The goodie STASH – bags just doesn’t seem to do the whole thing justice.

LeGeeque: Haha that’s true. We actually went back to the hotel with a lot of paper bags, which we had to leave behind when packing. The goodies were really overwhelmingly good πŸ™‚

Goingkookies: Cool, right? I knew there were going to be goodie bags, but really, not in this multitude.

PS: Love the name, btw. Goingkookies πŸ˜›

Wahaha amazing! It reminds me of my very late night snapping pictures of all the goodies! I love the last picture, it’s so neat – something I suffered to achieve.

Looking at all the things we were lucky to take home, we really didn’t need to bring anything! Just ourselves and some clothes, perhaps.

Shizuka: Hahaha, the stuff took up the living room floor. The husband was complaining left, right and centre when I told him he had to walk around them, making sure all the bottles, tubes and boxes remained in their spots neatly. Of course, that was after he asked “Okay, so which ones of these are mine?” πŸ˜›

It’s a good thing I brought sample sachets of skincare products for the trip, and not bottles. Emily realized she forgot her toiletries bag when we reached Sydney, but she didn’t even have to worry because everything she needed were in the goodie bags!

Biianca: Hahaha it’s a loot, all right. I will not be reviewing every single product though, because if I do, I would still be reviewing ABBW 2011’s stash in 2014! πŸ˜›

  7. Vonvon

OMG! That’s all I can say! Drooling……all these would last you like a year or more? πŸ˜‰

    1. Tine

Vonvon: The shampoos, conditioners and body wash wouldn’t last that long, given that I do share them with the husband. Other than that, oh definitely over a year πŸ˜›

Swati: Thanks πŸ™‚ The networking opportunities were amazing. It was so good to finally meet the bloggers we’ve been following either via their blogs, Twitter or both, in real life. And they’re prettier than the pictures let on!

It was also very good meeting the PR folks we’ve been working with for months, some even years. Many of them don’t have the opportunity to come down to Melbourne in a work capacity, so to be able to put a face to the name was a very good thing πŸ™‚
