Sally Hansen Mobile Manicures Bar at Federation Square

Guess what? Sally Hansen is currently having a mobile manicures bar at Federation Square, Melbourne this Spring Racing Carnival, and you can drop by for a free deluxe manicure any time between 9.30am to 4pm till Thursday, 3 November. That’s right ladies, you heard right. FREE MANICURES. Get on it.

I had an opportunity to get my nails done yesterday morning with a few beauty bloggers invited to an intimate breakfast hosted by CotyPR, brand managers of Sally Hansen. After a short presentation on Sally Hansen (interesting fact: do you know that one Sally Hansen nail polish sells every 6 seconds in the US? Far out!), it was time for a manicure! 😀

Now the fun part is, you don’t only get to choose a regular manicure. I had the option of trying out the Salon Effects nail stickers too. The Salon Effects nail stickers are great for those who do not have the time to spare and wait for the nails to dry.

As it was Halloween yesterday, what better way to “celebrate the occasion” than to try out the Halloween range? I chose Numbskulls.

The one on the lower left are Emily‘s Salon Effects manicure in Wishnets. Beautiful.

Unfortunately, one of my nail stickers chipped a few hours after application. I reckon it was the combination of it being the first time the nail tech was using the nail stickers AND me pulling my jeans down and up in the loo that mucked it up. I was a bit upset at first, until I thought, hang on. I could remove that peeled nail sticker and paint that bare nail black. Can someone say statement nails? 😉

Okay, here are the details again:
Where: Federation Square. White marquee with the orange Sally Hansen splashed in front.
When: Till Thursday, 3 November, 9.30am to 4pm
Price: Free. No peanuts needed.
Reservations? Nope. Just rock in. As they’re quite popular, you might have to wait for a while.

so cool! however, if we had one here, i can’t imagine the Q. people would prob camp overnight for it O_o

bummer that the stickers chipped so soon, maybe if there was a top coat, it would have helped a little. or there was already? come to think about it, i haven’t tried stickers on my finger nails yet!

Xin: Hahaha for free manis? Very likely 😛
Oh you should definitely check it out! I think you’ll like it. At least for me, totally crap at applying nail polish, I *think* I should be able to do this on my own 😛

I was gonna ask the same – does top coat help? If it does I might consider buying it since it supposedly lasts for 10 days.

erm a good top coat should be able to hold, have tried several brands but i find that OPI top lasts the longest especially you do a ‘wrapping’ – means you extend the top coat a little till the inner side of your nails. my colors are on the 5th day now with all the dish washing and what not, barely chipped. but of course, you gotta be a little cautious when u are zipping
