Essie’s Trophy Wife Knocked My Socks Off

Essie Trophy Wife

Of all the nail polishes I have, this is definitely in my Top 10 list of favourite lacquers. I bought Essie’s Trophy Wife on a whim at BeautyBay.com, and when I swatched it, holy batman, it was beautiful.

It’s a shade of deep teal with stunning blue shimmer. Application was very good; three short strokes and two layers later resulted in gorgeous nail colour. The formula is excellent to work with. No dragging, no streaking, no staining. My idea of the perfect shimmery nail polish 🙂

If you’re a fan of blues and greens like I am, I highly recommend you check out Essie’s Trophy Wife. As for me, I can’t wait to try out other nail polishes from Essie! 😛

Looks similar to OPI’s Austin-tatious Turquoise, but with a better formula. Love the colour! 😀

Beetrice: Oooh this is so much better than the Austin-tacious Turquoise. The OPI one has more green to it, and it’s sheer, which needs 3 layers to show opacity. I definitely prefer this Essie one 🙂

it looks beautiful! like Bee said, it’s does look rather similar to OPI’s Austin-tatious Turquoise…

i’m not a fan of Essie. I tried their Blue Azure once and while the colour’s beautiful, the brush and application wise didn’t really impress me. Maybe i noob in this. Should I try another time? XD

Plue: I find this much better than OPI’s. The Austin-tacious Turquoise is quite sheer, and needs 3 layers to achieve opacity (if that’s the look you’re going for). I actually find the Essie formula (at least, for the Trophy Wife) much better. Hmm do try again? 😛

Gorgeous nail polish! And I so love that glittery effect. I’d really love to have one of that. 🙂
