I Tried Drawing Hearts For Valentine’s Day And Failed

Okay, first things first. This would be your number-how-many Valentine’s Day nails post you’ve seen today? 😉 Ahh but I bet you didn’t think you’d see a lousy, failed attempt at nail art here, did you? Right. Moving along 😛

I Tried Drawing Hearts For Valentine's Day And Failed

Next, I have to apologise at the so-called nail art I attempted for this manicure. I didn’t think of doing my nails any different for Valentine’s Day, but since I’ve been wanting to try out Sally Hansen’s Nail Art Pen for a while now, I thought why not try drawing hearts?

Conclusion – I cannot draw hearts for peanuts.

My hands tend to shake when I paint my nails, and even more so when I used the pen to draw the hearts. The nail pen goes on very well on paper, but it’s quite hard to draw a smooth line on dried nail polish because it tends to drag (hence the lumpy pink bits). It’s very watery, but goes on matte. I think it’s better to stick to proper nail polish for nail art, because quite frankly, this nail art pen stinks.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA Ah Beng sure can pull an ugly mug 😀 😀 😀

But yea, I didn’t get good results from the Sally Hansen pen either. I bought the white one to attempt French manicure. No go. *sad face*

LeGeeque: Lousy, right? I was so disappointed. I was hoping to do French manis and attempt other forms of nail art with the pen, but it was a fail. Sigh.

Hey! 😀 I tried some heart nail art myself on valentines day! Actually worked quite well considering I was using a regular ball point pen dipped in nail polish!! 😀 happy valentines day!! 😀 xxx

Nicola: Nicola you are a genius! A ball point pen?? I’m so trying it out now. Thanks for the great idea 😀
