I Love Me A Chunky Ring Or Two

I love chunky cocktail rings. They automatically jazz up any outfit, and it makes a great conversation starter. I tend to move my hands quite a fair bit when I talk, so people do notice πŸ˜› Plus, if you have a sturdy big knuckle duster on your fingers, they make an impromptu *ahem* “weapon” if you should need one on a night out (which I hope you never do!).

Chunky Rings

Most of my rings are from Lovisa, Diva and Colette. Some were sourced from flea markets.

The ring with an amber stone was a gift from my mother-in-law.

I need a better storage solution for my rings than this

Victoria: Aww it’s but a small collection. But I see its potential in growing *chuckle* πŸ˜›

Nice collection! Perhaps a ring box would be a more appropriate storage option ;-p

    1. Tine

Pui Ee: That’s what I thought, but man, they’re expensive πŸ™ I’ve been Googling DIY ring solutions though, and I’ve stumbled upon a good one, which I will give a go. If it’s good, I’ll blog about it πŸ˜›

I love your House of Harlow and YSL one! How much did you get them from and where? πŸ™‚ x

    1. Tine

Jasmine: Thanks! The HOH ring was from Shopbop ($49) and the YSL Arty from Net-a-porter (Β£146) πŸ™‚

Hi Tine! I’m back again lol. I was kindly nominated with the Versatile Blogger award, and in turn I nominated you in my post. I have really enjoyed reading your posts for a while now, and in fact you your Bloggie Wednesdays have been such a GREAT help. So, as a thank you here it is: http://beautifulkayekie.wordpress.com/2012/04/08/ive-been-nominated/

I know you probably don’t do these kinds of posts (thats ok!), but I thought it would be worth mentioning it to you as I think your blog is awesome. Keep up the great work! πŸ™‚

Kaye: Ooooh thanks very much Kaye! I haven’t been nominated for an award for a while now, and it really is an honour. I’m so glad you enjoy my blog, and I hope to see you here again soon πŸ™‚

Oh yes I do love me a chunky ring or two, though the only one I really have is a red ruby one, and one Swarovski one πŸ™‚ My Mum absolutely LOVES them and has plenty (I think her collection may even outnumber yours), and her favourite is turquoise. We usually source them from flea markets and Petaling Street, where there’s a place where there are Tibetan/Nepalese people selling semi-precious stones (Loose, rings, necklaces, bracelets) and they have the most DIVINE selection ever. I’ve converted a few people into shopping there and apparently not a lot of people know where it is as it’s quite secluded!

Stephanie: Oooh your mum’s a hip one πŸ˜‰ I don’t think I can get my mum to wear a chunky ring. She thinks they’re too fiddly πŸ˜›

Hmm I shall have to visit that flea market you’re talking about! πŸ™‚

loving the YSL ring, but i don’t think i can ever afford it. i’ve seen dupes around in town for about us$30 but i can’t bring myself to buy them though. and i agree about the chunky rings from diva, i have a drawer full of them! i also like rings from dorothy perkins πŸ™‚

Germs: I’ve seen some dupes over here too, but quite honestly, they just don’t have that luxe feel that the YSL ones have. I’ve seen one by Diva (not exactly this design, but the one with more stones), and it was plastic. Meh πŸ˜›

Not that I have anything against accessories from Diva of course; I have a box full of their jewellery! πŸ˜›

  10. dom

I can has same Diva ring! The one with the turquoise teardrop-shaped stone? I have the same one but in black. I love me some chunky rings too. Recently purchased an armor ring and now I’m lemming for your YSL ring.

Dom: Haha yep that’s from Diva all right. I bought that ring a month after the engagement of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. Thought I’d celebrate the occasion by getting meself a blue ring too πŸ˜€

  11. plue

yay to chunky rings! though I don’t wear them as often as I should, too flashy for work πŸ˜›

i like those rings for pinky fingers too, adds a delicate touch πŸ™‚

My mum actually has a pinky ring and wears it all the time. Of all people! πŸ˜›

I love big chunky statement rings too! I think I’m going to have to nick this idea and post pics of all mine on my blog so we can compare collections!
