Flash Giveaway Day #2: Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

by Tine on September 18, 2012

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

Day two of the flash giveaway week features Shu Uemura’s latest addition to the cult cleansing oils. It’s the Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil, and I have one 150ml bottle (RRP AU$65) to give away!

The Ultime8 Cleansing Oil reminds me of the Whitefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil. It’s not like the popular yellow-bottled cleansing oil (I find that one too thick and heavy on my skin). It’s gentle on the skin, removes makeup well, does not sting the eyes and, between you and me, looks classier than the other bottles :P If you are a fan of cleansing oils, I have a feeling you’ll like this one too.

I have never used a cleansing oil, but have read great reviews on how they make your skin feel, would love to try this.

The Made Up Maiden September 18, 2012 at 11:15 am

I certainly do, I use the Shu Uemura fresh (the pink one) cleansing oil every day to remove my makeup, and I love it! It’s my HG cleanser/makeup remover!

Thanks for a great giveaway!

Xx

I’ve never tried a cleansing oil! I’ve used cleansing cream, gel, milk and water but never oil. I’d love to try it, sounds lovely.

With my super dry skin, I can only use oil based cleansers. Ponds cold cream has been my HG, but I’d like to give Shu Uemura’s cleansing oil a go!

Charlotte September 18, 2012 at 10:21 am

Hmm, I’ve only tried the Hada Labo cleansing oil before, wasn’t really fond of it. But I’ve heard great reviews on this! Would love to try this out :)

Madam M September 18, 2012 at 10:32 am

i used to love the classing oil from L’occitane but sadly its now discontinued, I’ve dabbled with fancl, hado labo & biore but i always go back to shu!
Great giveaway lovely.

I’ve been a loyal user of the Shu Uemura cleasing oil (Fresh in the pink bottle) for years! I’m a subscriber of double cleansing and this is always the first step in my cleansing routine. I have found a more economical alternative in Biore but I always return to my Shu :)

Katelyn September 18, 2012 at 10:50 am

I do! I love cleansing oils and have used Shu Uemura’s pink and regular ones but i’ve sadly run out of both.

Manda Richards September 18, 2012 at 11:09 am

Cleansing oils are a new concept to me, so I’d be intrigued to try it out.

Rachel September 18, 2012 at 11:13 am

I’ve hardly ever used a cleansing oil, I feel like I’m not using them right! But I guess practice makes perfect :)

Hi Tine, been loving your blog :) Thanks for organising these giveaways!
For me, ever since I started using cleansing oil, I’ve been loving it! Currently using the Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil and have been liking that. Would love to try Shu Uemura but so far haven’t made the splurge yet…

Karen Norris September 18, 2012 at 11:56 am

Ive never tried a cleansing oil, but really like to…. I like the idea of it , not stripping away the best in your skin, but adding to it

Mandy September 18, 2012 at 12:01 pm

hi tine the only cleansing oil i have used is from kose. i usually stick to creams and havent used oils for some time so this would be good. thanks :)

I’ve used the Dermalogica Precleanse, which I love and also the Eve Lom Cleanser which is more like a cleansing balm but you use it the same way! I’ve always wanted to try the Shu Uemura one!

Cleansing oils are a must have for me to remove makeup. My favs are the Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil (pink version) and the Biore one

I’ve never tried a cleansing oil! But I’ve been meaning to after reading about it a couple of years ago. I just need to get used to the idea of putting oils on my face lol. I’ve only started using serums and oils on my face this year haha

I’ve never used a cleansing oil, but would love to give it a try.

Karen C September 18, 2012 at 1:20 pm

Using Bloom Organics Gentle Cleansing Oil and like it’s natural organic ingredients and how it leaves my skin feeling, but not fussed on the aroma and would like to try something else next time. I love the sound of Shue Uemura’s Cleansing Oil, with all the lovely botannical goodness of jojoba, safflower, shea butter, soy, olive, camelia seed ,ginger root, and corn oils.

Amy S September 18, 2012 at 1:37 pm

Fancl is my favourite cleansing oil – but it’s unaccessable in Australia. It’s gets annoying to order it online regularly. So I’d love to try the Shu Uemura one!

Anna Lee September 18, 2012 at 1:37 pm

I’ve tried the Shu Uemura oils in different types and the DHC cleanser. I find my skin so much cleaner when I use this as the first step in my beauty regime.

Eunice September 18, 2012 at 1:58 pm

I have tried a few: Dermalogica, Biore, Fancl.. Love the smell of the dermalogica but it doesn’t remove eye make up.. Fancl clogs my skin.. Biore is the only one that works for me so far.. Have not tried Shu Uemura before, would love to have a chance!

Kristi Jarvis September 18, 2012 at 2:05 pm

The only cleansing oil I’ve tried is the DIY kind: olive oil. Cold pressed and organic, of course. The results were a little patchy so I’d love to try the Shu Umera version, which seems to get rave reviews everywhere!

Victoria September 18, 2012 at 2:11 pm

I’ve never used one, but I’d like to! Is it like the Dermalogica pre-cleanse, which is fairly oily?

Tram September 18, 2012 at 2:14 pm

Yay Tine!!
I’ve never used cleansing oils — the closest thing to oil that I’ve used is olive oil, but that’s different right? Is there a difference between oil cleansers and oil make-up removers…..? Meep. Confusing*

i love the Pond’s one, always get mum to buy heaps as its so cheap overseas!
Would love to try the Shu Uemura cleansing oils as its been said to be the best, but it’s just so far away from my budget :(
thanks Tine for the opportunity =P

Sharon Wong September 18, 2012 at 7:14 pm

I’ve used Biore Cleansing Oil that you wrote about last year. I bought it from Malaysia and I loved it. Especially the smell and the fact that you can use it in the shower. Very convenient!

Gemma September 18, 2012 at 7:48 pm

I use Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, which I got after reading Amazing Face by Zoe Foster. I like how it turns from a gel to an oil, but the white eye thing freaks me out.

Sam September 18, 2012 at 8:11 pm

I use Shu Uemura – the green one. It’s nearly run out, so I need to look through my sample stash and hope I’ve got something!
Great prize to offer – thank you.

I have never used a cleansing oil before, though I’d certainly love to try one and experience what it’s like!

redambition September 18, 2012 at 9:23 pm

I love cleansing oils! I haven’t found my perfect match yet though. I’m currently using the Shu Uemura premium A/I, but I’m finding that it’s a bit too thick for me. Maybe this one would be the better choice!

emmabovary September 18, 2012 at 10:02 pm

I’m totally into the idea of cleansing oils, and I agree that the bottle is really classy looking!

amy September 18, 2012 at 10:52 pm

I haven’t used cleansing oils but id love to try x

SharonC September 19, 2012 at 12:35 am

I am a regular user of Shu Uemura’s cleansing oils. I think it is one of their star products!

Joey Luk September 19, 2012 at 7:22 am

I was given a bottle to try when I was in high school but it kept breaking me out :( not wanting to waste it I notice it was great for taking off eye makeup. So everytime I’m overseas I buy a bottle or two xD
But since my skin has calmed down a lot, I wouldn’t mind trying it again.

Niva September 19, 2012 at 9:25 am

I have dry skin so can only use cleansing oils! I quite liked the Skin Juice cleansing oil but have also tried the Shu Uemura one and absolutely loved it! (I bought it in HK when they have super cute LE packaging!)

Caitlin September 19, 2012 at 9:31 am

I tried a sample of the aesop parsley seed cleansing oil and I was impressed. But I couldn’t really afford it at the time

Ling September 19, 2012 at 9:32 am
