Mini Haul from Harrods

Since I’ll be running giveaways all week, I thought I’ll keep the rest of my posts for the week quick and light. Yes yes, filler posts if you will :P.

A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I did an online shopping spree at Harrods. With a flat international shipping rate of £25 divided among 5 of us, a fiver each on shipping fees was very cheap. I only picked up two items, but what lovely items they were.

Erm, I don’t know if you remember this, but when I reviewed the Guerlain Meteorites I mentioned that I wasn’t going to get another tin of the Meteorites because I already have one and another wasn’t necessary. Ahem. Right. Let me take those words back because thanks to your tempting comments, I bought another one :P. Okay, in my defence, it’s a limited edition one, so that means … I’m good?

The Burberry blush (No 3 in Rose Blush) is my first makeup from Burberry Beauty. I tried it out on Sunday, and boy, it’s a beaut all right.

So if you’ll just pass me my hat to eat (since I did proclaim not to buy another one of ’em Meteorites), I’ll be on my way :D.

Hi Tine…can I just ask, would you happen to know what the bristles of the blusher brush is made off…I have been trying to look for the information but I can’t seem to find it…thank you..:)

Aaj: The brush that comes with the Burberry blush? I searched on the Internet, and according to this blogger who checked with Burberry, it’s synthetic (http://themaibug.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/burberry-light-glow-natural-blush-in-no.html)

On those Meteorites look so pretty, I’m eyeing off a couple of things from Harrods myself at the moment! Good thing my parents like to order from there too!

Plue: Burberry does very classic colours, which can be a bit boring if you’re after more colours. Kinda like Bobbi Brown. Most blushes are matte. Have fun!

      1. plue

ah matte is just my thing now! don’t quite wanna touch shimmery blushes for now 🙂

I’m really interested on your thoughts on Meteorites… I’ve heard conflicting things. Some say they’re just a nice luxury and other say that it makes a significant difference in terms of skin luminosity. I’ll keep checking back for that review 🙂

Karima: I’ll say it’s both. It’s a finishing powder on the skin (not setting powder, although I do use it for that purpose as well); it creates a glow on the skin which I love. On the other hand, there are also other products that can give you that glow if it’s something you’re looking for. I’ve seen cheaper dupes on other brands, e.g. Face of Australia.

      It’s a lovely bit of luxe to own, but it’s not a must-have 🙂
