Aurora Spa Rituals Rosemary & Clove Thermal Balm

Imagine a stronger version of Vicks VapoRub. That’s what the Aurora Spa Rituals Rosemary & Clove Thermal Balm is. When I first tried this out, I had a pretty bad headache from staying out in the summer heat too long. I rubbed a bit of the balm behind my ears and a few seconds later, the headache was gone. The delicious menthol feels oh so good and gets rid of headaches just like that *snap*.

In the beginning of April, I suffered a very bad cold. My nose was blocked so badly that I could barely rest let alone sleep throughout the night. It was then that I remembered I had the thermal balm. I applied a bit of this balm above my upper lip and around the nostrils and voila! No more blocked nose. As this is a much stronger version of VapoRub, I could only use very little balm at one time because it will sting badly. Once I applied a bit too much and I felt as though the skin above my upper lip was burning!

Lesson learned. Just a tiny swipe of two of the balm on the nostrils, above the upper lip and on the chest, and sleep came easily even during a bad cold. Medication didn’t work but the thermal balm did. Love it!

Aurora Spa Rituals Rosemary & Clove Thermal Balm retails at $25 and is available at Mecca Cosmetica and Aurora Spa Retreat centres.

Note: This product was a gift along with the complimentary facial I had at the Aurora Spa Retreat at St Kilda.

Absolutely love rosemary! I used to pluck some rosemary from me mum’s plant and ‘sweep’ across the pillow, has this marvellous scent and helps me to sleep better 🙂 [the heat here had totally killed the plant, in progress of planting another….]
