Want A “Photoshopped” Glow? Try Diorskin’s Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow

If beauty bloggers enable non-bloggers to buy more makeup, let me tell you this: beauty bloggers enable beauty bloggers possibly 10 times more. It’s usually the case of “I saw it on so-and-so’s blog; I must have it!“. And guess what? I’m adding yet another one to the bag!

Diorskin's Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow

I first saw this on British Beauty Blogger and there was only one thought in my head. MUST. HAVE. IT. So when Jess (one of my major enablers, the minx!) did a shopping spree from Harrods when they had a 10% off weekend, I had only one thing in mind and that was the Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow.

I’ll leave you with lots of blush p0rn first before I talk about it. πŸ˜›

The blush-bronzer duo comes in a metal compact with the iconic Cannage print on top. It also comes with a sturdy kabuki brush. Both compact and brush are encased in velvet cases. The kabuki brush is soft yet firmly packed at the bottom giving me good control upon application. It doesn’t feel or look cheap, which lives up to the name of Dior. As for the compact, it’s quite heavy and closes with a magnet.

Looking at the pressed powder, you’ll see that there are actually 4 shades, not 2. A lighter and darker bronzer, and a lighter and darker coral-pink. The coral has a bit of pinkish undertones to it that makes the blush even prettier. As for the bronzer, it’s a subtle bronzing brown powder with only just a hint of shimmer. As I’m not usually keen on applying bronzer on my entire face, I used this section as contouring powder instead.

As a blush fiend, you’ll know what I’ll say about the blush. LOVE IT. It gives the cheeks a beautiful, diffused glow. If you’re a Photoshop user, imagine this giving a hint of Gaussian Blur on your cheeks. It’s gorgeous, I tell ya. πŸ™‚

The blush is more pigmented than the bronzing powder so you’ll need to be careful when applying on your cheeks (I made a mistake the first time I used it and woah, bye bye diffused glow, hello dolly cheeks! :P). I use the enclosed kabuki brush on the blush but a separate buffing brush (I like Real Technique’s) for contouring with the bronzing powder as I find the kabuki brush too big and fluffy for contouring.

Makeup Used For FOTD

Makeup I used for this look:
Face: Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup, Physician’s Formula Super BB Powder
Eyes: Chanel Les 4 Ombres in #19 Enigma, L’Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara
Brows: L’Oreal Color Riche Le Sourcil eyebrow pencil in Deep Brown
Cheeks: Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow
Lips: Australis Go Long Longwear Lipstick in Ghetto

Arty Farty Shots

An arty-farty shot for the road. Clearly I’m not good at this.

If you love blushes and want a multitasking compact, you will love this one. It looks and feel luxurious (very Dior), and the effect is simply gorgeous on the skin. This blush fiend approves! So … have I enabled you yet? *nudge nudge wink wink* πŸ˜‰

Diorskin's Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow

The Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo also comes in Pink Glow and retails at AU$82. I got mine from Harrods for about AU$64 (including shipping fees).

Have you tried any of the Paradise Duos before? Your thoughts? Which do you prefer, the Coral Glow or Pink Glow?

PS: In case you were wondering, the only Photoshopping I did for this post was to increase lighting and contrast to the images. I did not edit my cheeks with the Gaussian Blur or any other filters. Goes to show how pretty the blush is, eh? πŸ˜‰
