#tinetravels: I Shopped For You Too (It’s A Giveaway!)

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

I have to say this again: French pharmacies are AMAZING. They’re not big pharmacies and drugstores like Priceline or Watsons; they really are quite tiny shops that sell medication and a bit of beauty products here and there. The amazing thing about them is how cheap most French skincare products are, especially if you buy them in bulk. You can get two massive bottles of Uriage cleansers for under 12 euros per pack. Some pharmacies even sell a 12-pack NUXE dry oil for about 6 euros each!

I thought I’d bring back some of that French pharmacy vibe for you. No, I don’t have 12 bottles of NUXE dry oil to give away (but you know, if I could bring them back, I would), but perhaps a small pack of goodies might suffice? πŸ™‚

One reader will be able to win the pack below:

#tinetravels European Giveaway

NUXE Travel Kit
Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue
KIKO eyeshadow in #174
Savon de Marseille soaps in The Blanc and Verveine
Uriage samples

It’s not a very big giveaway no thanks to my luggage weight limit but I thought it might be nice just to try out smaller sizes of the skincare products. I particularly like how cute the tiny little NUXE dry oil is. The soaps were a wee bit battered in my suitcase hence the chipped sides but other than that, they smell absolutely yummy!

I haven’t had a chance to try any French skincare before but I have been lusting over the Nuxe Dry oil for ages, so I would love to try that. Someone once told me that every woman should have a bottle of this golden elixir, as it makes your skin feel beautiful and also smells divine!

  2. Emily

The only thing I’ve used is the Bioderma micellar water. I do really enjoy it for removing my make up and I’ve almost finished my big 500ml bottle. I think what I want to try the most is skincare from Caudalie and the Nuxe lip balm πŸ˜€

  3. maddy

Yes, the last time I was in France I bought sunscreen. Literally the best sunscreen I have ever owned. It was the Avena sunscreen I think. Me, thinking “oh well, won’t get burnt in Nice, their ozone layer is intact. Can’t be as burn-ey as the Australian sun”. Wrong! Only had to apply the sunscreen once every day while I was there, so more sun burn! and best of all, I have really sensitive skin, no reaction. πŸ™‚

  4. S. Chan

No, but would love to try the bioderma micellar water soon

  5. CindyC

Tried La roche posay recently and loving it for my sensitive skin ..and read good reviews about nuxe and caudalie ..love to try it out! πŸ™‚

  6. Debra Moody

I have never tried any French skincare brands, the NUXE dry oil after research sounds great and a must have, it nourishes, repair and soften your face, body and hair in a single step.

  7. Claire

I’ve never tried any French skincare brands before but I’d love to give Caudalie a go, this brand has had great reviews on a lot of skincare blogs.

  8. Isabel

I’ve tried the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum and I thought that it really did work to lighten my pigmentation spots. So that one is definitely one that is on my favourites list. I’m waiting for the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo to arrive from Paris (tumpang someone :D) so that I can test it out as I’ve heard great reviews about it for problem skin.

  9. Sarah Cwl

Tried Bioderma, very good ..helps me clear makeup off my skin. Nuxe definitely on my to try list as I suffer from dry skin.

  10. Mich Chi

Have not try any french skincare but love to try Nuxe to get the glow on my skin.A friend has been raving about it.

  11. MissCarole

Having lived in France many years ago, I have tested a few brands πŸ˜‰ But never Caudalie and I would love too.

Hi Tine. You have just reminded me to try the Caudalie Intense Moisture Rescue Cream sample I got from Sephora last month! Would be trying it out soon! Hopefully with the Morning Eye Rescue giveaway. πŸ™‚

  13. Connie

I’ve tried the Chanel whitening range but it did nothing for my skin. I would love to try Caudalie but looking at the price locally, it just puts me off.

  14. Victoria

Wow, I was just researching about Nuxe dry oil on another blogger’s post yesterday evening and today, there is a giveaway on your blog. Yay! Would really love to try this and products from Caudalie since I have heard so much raves of the latter.

I have tried quite a number of products from Clarins, Yves Rocher and I am currently using the Bioderma micellar water for sensitive skin. My favourite would be the Clarins Hydraquench mask.

  15. Chris

Never tried any French products but the Nuxe travel kit looks interesting. Anything French looks superior and glamorous?

  16. Michelle Beh

  17. Shruti Lakshman

I have never tried any French skincare :(.

  18. JenC

Have not tried any but love to try Bioderma and Caudalie! hard to choose between both of it as i read great reviews about both product.

  19. Kimberley

my favourite would probably be the bioderma, I would love to try some of the Nuxe stuff though!

  20. Yvonne

I have tried Avène, Uriage And Bioderma.
The Avène eye cream and spring water was average for me. I enjoyed the Uriage spring water and Aquaprecis express mask. I am loving the Bioderma Créaline H20!

Thanks for thinking of us on your holidays! πŸ™‚

  21. sataa

No, I haven’t tried any French skin care brand yet but I really want to try Nuxe products because I have seen a lot of bloggers raving about them , they say these products are suitable for sensitive skin and I have very sensitive skin so I want to try them. I also want to try Bioderma because I have seen in bubzbeauty’s makeup removing videos how well it removes eye makeup so it’s also on my wishlist
    Thanks xx

  22. Shan

Tried Avene and Bioderma before but I wish to try out Nuxe.

  23. Gaby

    hi Tine,

    welcome back!
I have tried Uriage, which I love but now I’m currently using Clarins (cleanser, toner, moisturiser, serum, shower gel, body lotion and perfume ..i know i’m crazy!..haha)
So far..I love them, my skin love them πŸ™‚

  24. Ioana Gheorghita

Hello! French skin care products that I have tried are Bioderma micellar water and Bioderma BB Cream.

  25. Vasilisa

I have only tried L’Occitane hand cream and it’s amazing (I’m sure like the most French brands!). For some reason I saw the soaps and got very excited, I’d love to try them and Nuxe travel kit – I love small packages especially when they contain quality products!

  26. Chibilaria

Yes , usually French skincare products are so good…
I tried, Avene Spring water , Bioderma Sensibio H2o and Bioderma Sensibio Light cream .
Anyway Kiko is an Italian brand ^^
Thank you so much for this opportunity and finger crossed !!!

  27. Saumya

I have only tried Bioderma Solution micellaire. I like it as a cleanser and as a facial makeup remover, but not for waterproof makeup. I am excited to try Caudalie and Nuxe.

Thanks Tine for being so thoughtful for your readers πŸ™‚

  32. Yean

Currently I’m using Clarins and Vichy. Clarins is my favourite πŸ™‚

  33. bluehaert

I’ve used Avene cleanser gel when i was a teen. works superb for my skin then. Now it is too drying. Now I’m using avene thermale spray and bioderma micellular solution. Oh Avene is rather inexpensive in France too.

  34. Jennifer

Hi Tine. Thanks for the giveaway. I have not gone French on skincare. I thought Caudalie will be an interesting try. Grapes in wine, yes. Now grapes in skincare, yes!

  35. christine morris

  36. Angelina Tan

Hi Tine! Thanks for this giveaway! The only French brand I have tried is Caudalie. My friend bought a lip balm for me when she was is Paris. I love it and have been wanting to try all their other products. I can’t wait to try Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue! Thanks!

  37. Karen C

Have been using two of skincare products from La Roche-Posay –
Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser and Rosaliac AR Intense (Localised Anti-Redness Intensive Care).
Only been using for 2 weeks but feels good on my skin and hoping it will reduce redness on my face!

  38. Dawn

I’ve only tried Bioderma micelluar water..
Would love to try out Nuxe and Caudalie as I’ve heard great reviews on them! πŸ™‚

  40. Lanovia

Haven’t tried it yet but would love to get the NUXE travel kit because I’ll travel at the end of this month πŸ™‚

  41. SharonC

Have not really tried any…but would love to check them out…especially the NUXE travel set. It is an opportunity to try the brand without splurging on the full size.

  42. hilary

Despite actually living there for a bit I’ve never tried anything french! (I was young and stupid lol). Half of me wants to try the bioderm water stuff, byt the other half isn’t convinced by the hype and thinks it might be a case of the emperor’s new clothes and the fact it’s 99% % just water. I really would love to try the caudalie as I’ve heard good things about it and really need to start using eye stuff now I’m getting on a bit lol

I’ve tried a few: La Roche Posay – the pimple stick, Avene – SPF 50 sunblock and spray but not those you are giving away. Will be lovely to go them a go…

  44. KS

Have tried Vichy, Avene and La Roche Posay, they are ok but am dying to try Caudalie Beauty Elixir πŸ™‚

  45. Christina C

I’ve tried Nuxe facial gel before, and I’m a quite big fan of La Roche Posay’s sunscreen. The brand that I would like to try is Caudalie, but ooh so expensive here in Singapore!

  46. Lilian

Does L’Occitane count? If it does, this would be my favourite coz of its scent and texture.

I’ve tried Clarins and love it. I have heard so many things about Nuxe and hope to try it out soon πŸ™‚

  48. Cindy Aiton

Thank you so much for offering such a lovely and generous giveaway. La Roche-Posay is one of my new favorite brands. I recently received a sample set of some of their most popular products and it was love at first use.

  49. sinichi_v

Tried La Roche Posay back when I was breaking out badly and it worked wonders for my skin.

  50. Karina

I’ve psoriasis so I’ve been looking to more brands made for sensitive, irritated skin, and French brands are awesome for it. I’ve used Avene Skin Recovery and currently trying their Light Hydrating Cream with SPF20, it’s a fast-absorbing moisturizer and yay for no need to layer a separate sunscreen! L’Occitane products smell great, I love their shampoo and conditioner with a red label. The scent stays on your hair for a really long time.

  51. Polly

I didn’t know Nuxe is a French brand! And I always wondered how to pronounce it πŸ™‚
But between Nuxe and Caudalie I’d prefer to try Caudalie coz I have the impression it’s a “higher class” brand, so if can try something for free, I’d choose the more expensive one of course! (It IS more expensive than Nuxe, right? – for the same type of item I mean, e.g. cleanser, toner, etc.)

  52. Rachel

I have tried several products from Vichy (both skincare and makeup) and I must say I’m satisfied with their consistent quality so far! My favourite of skincare is the Vichy Effaclar Duo. It’s so effective in terms of preventing and busting acne. I also like the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation (best coverage ever, even Lisa Eldridge raved about it). I’m living in the UK and French brands can be quite expensive here, so haven’t been able to try other brands, but from what I saw on Youtube I’d certainly love to try Caudalie.

  53. Liz

Thanks to your blog, I’ve tried Nuxe and the lip balm + rose scrub are both oh so delightful to use πŸ™‚

  54. Leeola

I would love to try Nuxe products. Have tried LancΓ΄me and really love their products.
My mouth is watering at your travel haul. Have heard that the oil from Nuxe is one of the best.

  55. dee lee

i have tried some french products but of course would love to try more! my favorite product would have to be either the beauty elixir by caudalie or the famous embryolisse lait creme.

  56. Christina D

I’ve tried Vichy before, the refreshing cleansing milk and I loved it. But I’m hope to soon try out Nuxe skincare products.

  57. Beauty Snippets

I’ve only tried Bioderma and have an Embryolisse moisturiser waiting to be opened. Want to try more Embryolisse stuff!

  58. KL Yee

Oooh, I know what you mean about those lovely small French pharmacies. I basically stalked them the last time I was in Lyon years ago. Just ogling at all those French skincare …. I could spend an hour at just one shelf πŸ™‚
I am trying out the Uriage Depiderm antispot cream now hoping it would lighten acne marks. Love the Avene range especially when skin goes haywire. Favourite would be Avene’s Skin Recovery Cream.
Very curious about Nuxe … would like to try that πŸ™‚
    Thanks!

  59. Cindi

Hi, I am very proud of the fact that my paternal grandmother came to this country from
Calais, France. She came over her with her parents, on a cattle ship, when she was 14.
They landed at Ellis Island. I like many products from Lancome and L’occitane!
Many thanks for this fantastic prize giveaway…
    Cindi

  60. Mandy

I have tried some Uriage samples before but that’s about it! This prize pack seems so interesting! Thanks so much for shopping for your readers xx

  61. Lisa

Thank you for the giveaway! I never used any of the French skincare brands and curious to try Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue as I’m on the mission to find the best eye cream for my undereyes and puffiness.

  62. Cheryl

This giveaway looks fantastic! I personally find French personal care products to be the best (Caudalie, Klorane, Vichy etc..) Thanks for the giveaway!! πŸ™‚

  63. C Teo

I have been to Paris twice but did not visit any pharmacy πŸ™
That was before I started reading/watching beauty blogs and videos! I reckon I would just bring an empty suitcase to the pharmacy and just sweep the products off the shelf πŸ™‚

  64. giddy tigress

I don’t think I’ve tried any French skincare products, but I’m into soaps now so those soaps look yummy!

I have actually studied in France for six months and am in general big skincare maniac πŸ™‚
I’ve tried Bioderma, Avene, Vichy, Uriage and I was using Nuxe matifying cream because I have acne and oily skin πŸ™ But had to dicontinue, because it was a little expensive πŸ™
My favourite French products are from the brand named L’occitane en Provence, it’s natural and they have among the best costumer treatment I have ever seen, they are always so professional whatever store that you visit….
    I hope I’ll win this πŸ™‚

  66. Kimberly Low

Unfortunately I’ve never had the chance to try French skincare before! I’m most intrigued by the whole Caudalie brand and would really love to try anything from them πŸ™‚ xx

  67. jess

Its a toss up between Bioderma and La Roche-Posay as my favourite french brands. Both stock products that agree with my skin.
I would love to try the Nuxe dry oil.
    What a lovely giveaway.

  68. Riana

Yes, I’ve tried moisturizers and lotions from LancΓ΄me but ended up with staying with some of their cosmetics instead. Also love various soaps, lotions and particularly perfumes from l’ Occitane. My current favourite of hubby’s scent collection is l’ Occitane’s Eav de Bavx, it is woodsy, herbal and a bit bitter smelling (like in some herbal meds)? I find it refreshing and comforting somehow.

  69. Ross S

I haven’t tried any… but these would be a big hit with several members of my family.

  70. Lee Sheau Yuan

Hi Tine! Have tried 1 or 2 French brands and my favourite currently is Melvita! Would love to try out Nuxe and La Roche Posay πŸ˜‰
