Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses: Gee, When Was The Last Time I Called A Blush Blusher?

Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses

“Oh oh oh, shes my cover girl
Oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh”

Every time I see the Covergirl name, it reminds me of that song by New Kids on the Block. It’s a real ear worm so I hope I haven’t given you one. And if you don’t know who NKOTB are, oh hush you young whippersnapper! 😛

Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses

A few months ago, a number of Covergirl items landed on my desk for review and one of them is the Clean Glow Blusher in Roses. Now you know me and blush; if I have it, I gotta talk about it. 😉

Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses Ingredients

The way I look at it, there are two ways in going about with this blusher. You can either use the colours separately or swirl your brush on all of the colours at once. I wouldn’t bother using the colours separately as they’re too sheer to be used as a blush. A highlighter? Perhaps, although I don’t really think so as the blush leaves a matte finish on the skin. There’s no shimmer in the lighter colours so you’ll essentially be putting chalk on your skin.

When the colours are used together by swirling your blush brush around the compact, it gives a very natural peachy flush on the skin. The blush doesn’t pack a whole lot of punch in colour so if you’re a fan of highly pigmented blushes, you won’t like this one. I had to swirl my brush on this many times to get enough colour on my cheeks.

Personally, I think it’s a decent blush that will work better on fairer skin than mine because it will show much better on the skin. The colour is pretty but I’d prefer not having to pile on so much product for it to show on my skin.

Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher in Roses

Covergirl Clean Glow Blusher retails at AU$12.95 and is available in 2 shades, Roses (100) and Peaches (110).

What I like about it: It’s a pretty coral shade, looks natural on the skin.

What I do not like about it: It’s quite sheer and I need a lot of blush to show on my skin. Would work better for fairer skin.

Have you tried any blushes by Covergirl before? Did I successfully give you an ear worm? Shall I sing the song to you again? 😛

My first blush was CoverGirl Natural Twinkle! I love the old-fashioned, make-up-y smell of CoverGirl

Oh boy, I don’t even know that one! But you’re right, Covergirl does have (and still do) that old-fashioned makeup-y smell 😛

Hey Tine! 🙂 I just bought this at CVS in the US and I LOVE it. I love the completely natural light, diffused rosy glow that’s very My Cheeks but Better – and interestingly I don’t have to swirl my brush in it that much to pick up enough colour. Maybe our formulations are slightly different.

Awesome, so glad you like it! Hmm maybe the formula is different? Mine doesn’t seem to be giving off much colour unless I really go at it with my brush. That, or I’m darker than you. Ah well no worries, it’s still a good blush nevertheless! 🙂
