Bloggie Wednesday: Ask Me Anything!

Bloggie Wednesday: Ask Me Anything!

Happy hump day, folks and welcome to the first Ask Me Anything of 2014!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions from readers on blogging and skincare lately so I thought it’s time to open the floor to you for even more questions. Go on, come at me with your questions. Answer them, Tine will*.

If you’re new to Beautyholics Anonymous and to Ask Me Anything, this is where you can ask me anything. It can be beauty-related (have a question about serums? Cleansers? Eye creams? Foot creams? Feminine hygiene products?), shoot ’em right over. If you have any questions about blogging, ask away. Or you can ask me about food. I can tell you where to get good Hainanese chicken rice in Melbourne for less than $10**. šŸ˜‰

If there’s anything I’m able to help you out with, I’ll give it a try. If not, perhaps the other readers may be able to help. Seriously, some of the ideas you guys come up with … GENIUS.

If you don’t have any questions at all, do drop in and say hi. How are you doing? Have you read anything good lately? Have you watched any bad movies recently? (people always talk about the good ones. I want to hear about the bad ones so that I may stay away from them!)

I’m here waiting for you with my cup of tea. Come on in!

*I may or may not be Yoda.

**My favourite is the one on The Walk near the Causeway Inn (in between Bourke St and Little Collins St). It’s a tiny shop run by a Malaysian auntie. She can be a bit grumpy at times but her chicken rice is really good. Comes with awesome-possum chilli sauce and soup!

What’s the strangest thing you’ve been asked in an Ask Me Anything?

      1. I can access everything but Gmail and Facebook after cleaning out my cache. EH???
      2. Do you need essential oils or will fragrance oils do? Anyway, Chemist Warehouse sells lavender essential oils (can’t recall the brand right now – it’s white and olive green packaging). Get the bigger bottle as it’s cheaper per ml.

    Hi Tine,

    Love your Bloggie Wednesdays!!
I haven’t blogged for a while now (am meaning to start it back up again once I have finished my studies), but when I did used to blog the thing I found overwhelming (and no one ever talks about it) is photo management/storage.
I found that I used to have numerous photos of the same product everywhere: hard drive, iPhoto, photobucket etc etc.
I used to import them to iPhoto, extract to hard drive when I needed them, edit them in photo shop (save them again) then upload to photobucket so I could put them onto my blog. If you haven’t already determined, I’m not exactly computer savvy so if you could give me an idea of how you used to manage your photos that would be fantastic!
    Thanks,

    Zoe

Thanks Zoe. So glad you enjoy BWs! šŸ™‚

I don’t have a super organised way for my photos but here’s what I do:
      1. Transfer photo from SD card to computer’s hard disk. I save the photos to my Dropbox folder.
      2. Immediately create folders and name them according to each product.
      3. Delete the photos I don’t want to use on the blog.
      4. Edit the photos I want to use.
      5. Done!
