Oh The Beauty That Is The Dior Fleur de Vents Omotesando Blush!

Oh blush lovers, boy do I have a bit of an eye candy for you today!

I first saw a picture of this beautiful blush on Paris B’s Instagram and I thought to myself “Aww man, I really want that blush but damn, it’s going to be very difficult to get hold of unless I’m in Japan“. Whaddyaknow, thanks to LeGeeque who went on a holiday to Japan a few months later, I managed to get this baby in my hands.

Long time readers will know that I love cherry blossoms and all sorts of designs that are cherry blossoms so it’s no wonder why the design of this blush appeal to me so much. The Fleur de Vents Omotesando is only available at the Dior boutique at Omotesando, Japan to commemorate the opening of the new Dior store. This blush isn’t available anywhere else in Japan, let alone the world so you can be your bottom dollar that this is limited edition all right.

And it’s now mine. All mine. Muahahahaha! ๐Ÿ˜€

Okay, enough talkin’, let’s get blushin’.

I’d admit that when I finally saw this in person, I was a little worried that this would be a very sheer blush and that the most I would be able to use it for is a highlighter. The brightest pink band of the blush is quite narrow and given that the lighter portions of the blush is at least 50% more, I wasn’t sure if this would be a strongly pigmented blush. Thankfully, while it doesn’t pack a massive punch in colour, the blush is enough to give me a lovely flush and glow on my face without needing to pile a lot of product on my cheeks.

As beautiful as the embossed flowers are on the blush, they don’t last long at all. The flowers faded after my second use of the blush. ‘Tis a pity but I’d rather use the blush than keep it (and the flowers) intact and waste such a lovely product.

It’s a soft pink blush that is simply beautiful on the cheeks. Is it something that I cannot find dupes for? Nah, of course not. There are heaps of affordable blushes out there that are very similar in shades to the Fleur des Vents Omotesando. Still, it is something that I’m so glad to have in my collection and one I will keep using even after the flowers have long faded.

Have I told you how much I love this blush already? Love, love, LOVE!

From the photo, it looks very pale, but as a museum piece alone, I would adore this blush palette. So pretty!

LOL at museum piece because I actually have another Dior item that I’ve made into a museum piece. It’s 3-4 yo, completely untouched. Tsk tsk! ๐Ÿ˜›

LOL! Museum piece. Thoughtful and beautiful way to put it! But that’s right. I have a Shisedo Camellia Compact sitting in the drawer under my laptop right now, in pristine condition. And then I have the Guerlain G oneโ€ฆ โ€ฆ And the Chanel flowerโ€ฆ โ€ฆ All museum pieces. SIGH, need to use them. I don’t like to buy makeup to keep. I want to use them. But it takes forever to finish a 4g blush.

Oops. Forgot I bought this for myself too. ๐Ÿ˜› I’ll use it one day ๐Ÿ™‚

I think this will work better for you than me ‘cos you fairer than I am. The pink will stand out more.

It’s a half and half yay and nay from me because I wish there was more of the blush shade than the highlight! Otherwise it looks great on your pale complexion! I however love a strong strong blush!

I know what you mean! That’s why I was worried because I thought the bottom part of the blush would be really worn out but the top untouched. To be honest, that’s still what I’m doing now; concentrating more on the bottom half of the blush to get the “pink” and not really touching the light section.

Like you, I love a strong strong blush! ๐Ÿ™‚

So great that you got hold of this! Travel is so common nowadays that we can always find someone is Japan, HK, Taiwan, Bangkok, Bali, Australiaโ€ฆ โ€ฆ I also know people in Japan right now, but I think I will give this a miss. Like what you say, the colour is very replaceable. I am not that into motifs or Dior blushes. If it is Chanel of Guerlain, I think I will beg people to get it for me!

Anyhow, we are all kind of lovingly poisoned by Paris B huh? I remember seeing this Taiwanese moisture liquid on MWS. And then I also thought to myself it is going to be sooooo hard to get. But it so happened my sis-in-law was flying to Taiwan two weeks later, and I managed to get her to buy 3 tubes of that moisture liquid for me!! Hurray for family and friends, and it is good for our wallets that MWS is resting for now. Haha. I will miss her though.

HAHAHAHA Paris B is possibly my best (or worst?) enabler. Goodness knows how much stuff I have that were enabled by her. It’s good that she’s taking a well-deserved break right now but secretly, my wallet is also happy for her well-deserved break. ๐Ÿ˜›

This blush is beautiful, I hope to find it while I’ll be in Japan next month… Just wondering how much could it cost

    1. Tine

This was about AU$80 I think. I originally asked my friend to buy it for me and I would pay her but in the end, she ended up giving it to me as a gift instead so I don’t know the exact price. Fingers crossed you’ll be able to find it. If not, at least check out the Dior boutique at Omotesando. Many storeys!

        Thank you Tine

That blush is a work of art. And it looks great on you too.

Wow – you managed to get hold of this! Precious LE blush indeed! It’s so pretty – am drooling… But I’m with you, you gotta use it. Make up is not meant to be stuff you buy and not use. At least you took pix of it before you used it to remember what it looked like before. It’s certainly a subtle blush which is very Japanese. You look very lovely and elegant here, Tine. Thumbs up on this special purchase!
