Bloggie Wednesday: Ask Me Anything!

Bloggie Wednesday Ask Me Anything

Happy hump day, you awesome possums!

I was going through my Bloggie Wednesday archives the other day and realised that the last time I did an Ask Me Anything segment was December 2014! Well, it’s high time I rectify that, so welcome to the first Ask Me Anything for 2015!

If you’re new to BA (hello and welcome!) and are wondering what this segment is all about, it’s one where you can ask me just about anything. If you have any questions on beauty, blogging, health, lifestyle, food (‘cos I’m all about that food, ’bout that food, all about that food) and … heck, anything you want! It’s a great way for you and I to know each other better. So if you have a question, the floor is all yours.

If you don’t have a question, have been reading BA for a while now, haven’t left a comment yet but are just lurking, I’d love to you come say hi. Delurk away, I say! 🙂

I have my cup of tea ready for a good chat with you. Even if you’re reading this in the future and still have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments below and I’ll try my best to answer it. There’s no time limit to this post.

No questions? Then answer this one for me: since it’s now April, let’s check in on those new year resolutions/goals of yours. How are they doing?

Over to you!

Bloggie Wednesdays is a series of articles just on blogging. They contain tips, how-tos, discussions about anything and everything you need to know about blogging and how we can be better bloggers. If you have any suggestions, tips and tricks about blogging you would like to share with us, or if you have any questions you would like me to address, please let us know in the comments.

Any suggestions for forehead breakouts on oily skin? I’ve had more pimples in the past month than I’ve had in a long time! I have a pretty basic skincare routine.

I used to use bLiv’s Off With Their Heads sebum gel for many years and it worked wonders in controlling breakouts. I seldom get those sort of breakouts any more so I’ve stopped using it. Unfortunately, that may be hard to find so an alternative would be La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo. Now bear in mind, it didn’t work for me as well as the one by bLiv did but it is very popular amongst many for controlling breakouts especially on oily skin. Do try it out and see. Good luck!

What’s your favourite book to read at the moment?

Oh dear, that’s a tough one. Don’t really have a favourite at the moment as I’m just going through the books I have on my Kindle. I’d say that the last really good book I read was Paula Hawkins’ Girl on the Train. I want to start on books by Liane Moriarty next. I hear they’re really good! What about you? What are you reading at the moment?

Just looked up Liane Moriarty, her books sounds nice but probably not my taste. I’m reading Requiem by Lauren Oliver (third book in Delirium trilogy) and young adult dystopian novel. I’m slow into it as it’s in a different writing style than the first two. I really want to read some more novels by Matthew Reilly, they’re waiting for me on my bookshelf.

Comparatively new reader here, delurking at your request. Which made-in-Australia brand of skincare do you favour or know of that is efficacious for various skin types and user ages?

Hello Ginny, thanks for delurking! 🙂

At first, I was going to say Trilogy because it’s a good brand with great products (very popular for their rosehip oil. I love their cleansing cream and the calming serum), but then I just remembered that they’re actually a New Zealand brand! In that case, a very close second goes to Jurlique. I’ve tried their Purely Age Defying range and they work well for me. Any of their mists are good but I particularly enjoy their Lavender mist.
