Finally, Finally Got To Try Out Sleek Blushes!

Sleek Blush By 3 Palette in Pink Spirit and Flame

Sleek blushes have probably been talked to death in the beauty blogosphere and YouTube-land and they’re really nothing new. You must be wondering why the heck then am I writing about them now when they’ve been out for ages? Well, these blushes are particularly special to me because
1) I’ve actually never tried any Sleek blushes before.
2) These two blushes were actually a gift from a lovely reader who sent them to me all the way from Ireland.

So even though you’ve probably seen and read a lot about these blushes, do bear with me this time because I just had to showcase them on the blog particularly because of reason #2. Plus, as a blush fiend, it just doesn’t seem right not to talk about blushes this pretty, don’t you think? 😉

I gasped when I saw these blushes and gasped even harder when I swatched them. Holy moly, they are crazy pigmented! I have the ones in Pink Spirit and Flame. One has very cool-toned shades and the other very warm-toned shades so I’m pretty much covered from both ends of the blush spectrum.

As they’re so richly pigmented, they pack a massive punch in colour, which means I have to be very careful as to how much product to pick up with my makeup brush. All I need to do is lightly press my brush on the powder once and that’s all I need for each cheek. As for staying power, they lasted on my skin for hours so there’s no issue there at all.

I didn’t really mean for this to be a review (even though I technically did review them) but just a couple of items of beauty to show case on the blog. I can’t believe I’ve never tried Sleek blushes until now and I have the very lovely Lynda to thank for these beauties.

Love. Big, big love.

Even though Sleek blushes are not available in Australian stores, you can purchase them online on the official Sleek website (they ship internationally), Luxola (they also ship internationally) and Crush Cosmetics. I didn’t even know that until recently. Where have I been, living under a rock? 😛

Have you tried Sleek blushes before? Which one’s your favourite?

I only have the cool toned palette but since I have really yellow undertones the colors end up looking more warm and like you said they’re pigmented, I need to take part of Pink parfait on my hand if I don’t want to end with clown cheeks; Pinktini is my perfect shades and it’s hard to overdone and Pink Ice also looks gorgeous on my tan skin.

I want Flame but with reds I have to be careful to not look burnt.

I thought that since the fuchsia (Pink Ice) is so bright on the palette, it must be the most pigmented but whaddyaknow, it’s actually the Pink Parfait!

Well, they look lovely on you! Especially Pink Ice! I must admit Sleek was my ‘starter blush’ and they still hold their own against the more expensive ones. ☺

Aww man I can’t believe I’m only trying your starter blush now. Whooops. 😛
I agree; it’s definitely comparable to expensive blushes.

Gorgeous! Loving the pink palette! Of course, Sleek isn’t sold in the US .. but I’ve wanted to try the brand ~ forever! I just seem to get pulled in the direction of things I can swatch, I suppose 🙂

Hahahahah ME TOO! I mean, really, I could have bought this online ages ago but, erm, my attention was drawn to what I can swatch. Tee hee! 😛

The Flame 365 look like a palette that would work for me, especially the Furnace color!
I never get enough blush – I have like 6 of them in my makeup bag right now, but I’m really trying to find that perfect one…

Hahaha join the blush fiends club! There’s no perfect one and I’m glad there isn’t, because this means I can keep looking. And looking. And looking. 😛

Just Googled swatches of those; oh wow pretty! 😀

I have two individual blushes, Pomegranate and Suede. I adore them. Pomegranate, a shimmery dark pink, is scary in the pan but works beautifully whenever I need to look alive. Suede is a matte brownish pink that compliments almost any look. BTW, I can’t describe colors to save my life, so if I were you I wouldn’t rely on my descriptions. But they are pretty and last forever, that’s for sure.

Oh man, I can’t describe colours either! I’m terrible at them. Red is red, pink is pink. I just know what’s pretty and that’s good enough for me! 😛

I haven’t tried Sleek blushes yet either, they are so pigmented that it scares me !

They’re really richly pigmented but as long as you have a light hand in application, you’ll be fine! 🙂

They’re so beautiful! Especially Furnace! What a gorgeous colour. I’ve always been too scared to try blushes since my face is always so red to begin with, but I might try one day for an orange like that…

A friend of mine has a naturally red face too. She loves blushes but hardly wears them because she already has naturally flushed cheeks. What we both learned on her wedding day many years ago was that if you’d like to wear a blush, all you have to do is apply a full coverage foundation to, sort of, give your face a blank canvas. The full coverage foundation flattens everything, and then all you need to do is use blush and contour powder to bring everything back up. I saw it done in person and it was really fascinating!

I have Pink Spirit but funnily enough, I only use Pinktini regularly. Pink Ice looks so lovely on you and your post has inspired me to give that a try. LOL. Pink Parfait is super-pigmented even on someone who is tanned like me that I am afraid to use it to often because I have such a heavy hand when it comes to blushes. Hahaha. But I do love this palette and have no regrets getting it 🙂

    1. Tine

From looking at the palette, I wouldn’t think that Pink Parfait was that pigmented compared to that bright fuchsia that is Pink Ice. Turns out to be such a whopper of a colour. GORGEOUS!

So glad you finally got to try them! They are amazing, aren’t they? I’m in love with mine, but rarely use them because they are so pigmented. If I?m not careful, I look like a clown! The only exception is Suede, a tan shade. That’s so natural and wearable, and am using it a lot at the moment.
