Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Weekly Intense Treatment

I’ve not used Pantene hair products in ages. I remember using a lot of Pantene when I was in the UK, especially its clarifying shampoo. Can’t remember why it was that I stopped, but I’m very glad to have discovered this gem.

It was actually my housemate’s girlfriend who introduced these tubes of goodies to me. She brought them with her from Malaysia when she came for a visit a few weeks ago, and gave me one to try out.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Treatment Tube

I’d normally use all of the cream in the tube in one go, but she suggested only using half per wash, as it would suffice. I was pretty apprehensive as my hair’s long, and would need quite a lot to cover it all. I gave it a go and used half of it on my first wash, and she was right. Used half of the tube, add a tiny bit of water, lathered it well, and I could already feel the ends getting very soft.

I left it on for the duration of my soap-on-soap-off, which was less than 3 minutes. After rinsing the hair, oh my. I was amazed to discover how soft my hair was! After blow-drying and giving the hair a bit of straightening with the flat iron, my hair felt great. It was incredibly soft, manageable, and smelt great.

I highly recommend this to those with dry and coarse hair. I requested my mum to get me 5 boxes of these when she’s coming over for a visit. I don’t know how much it costs in Malaysia, but I bet it’s a lot cheaper than getting it in Australia.

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Weekly Intense Treatment comes three tubes in a box, and each box retails at AU$7.99 at Priceline.

What I like about it: Good fragrance, amazing softness to dry and coarse hair.

What I do not like about it: Nothing

What sort of hair treatment creams/masks do you use? I’d love to try out new ones too 🙂

Oroton 50% Off Sale

Note: Thanks very much for the encouragement, ladies. I reckon it’s just a phase I had to go through. Just to clear a few things up, your beauty blogs do get me excited about new makeup to try. It’s just me that the feeling fades quicker than usual. Also, I’m not expecting 😛

A few days ago, I received this in the mail.

Oroton FF09 Sale

Oh snap! I’m a huge fan of Oroton bags, purses and accessories, and I’ve never seen it having a 50% discount sale before. We’re talking about EVERYTHING in store, going at half price!

Yesterday, I headed over to Chadstone Shopping Centre to check it out, and oh my goodness, the crowd was simply crazy! I didn’t manage to take out my mobile phone to snap a photo due to the massive amount of people in the tiny store. Suffice to say, people sure are using Ruddy boy’s stimulus package well.

I’ve been eying a certain red bag from Oroton for a while now, but never seem to have the heart to part cash with it. But with the half-price discount, I didn’t think twice to snap it up.

Oroton Red Bag

I’m not sure if you actually need to bring the card with you to get the discount, as I’ve seen some people without it still able to buy items at half price. A tip – if you don’t have an Oroton member’s card or the discount card, buddy up to other customers in store who are. More often than not, they’d be more than happy to bring you in on the discount. Who doesn’t love a good bargain and a new bag buddy, right?

Oroton Red Bag Closeup

A lot of the items in Oroton stores are pretty much snapped up, so if you still want a piece of the action, go quickly. The sale ends on Sunday, 17 May. The offer is also available online at Oroton.com; just use the promo code FF09.

I may have lost interest in makeup for a bit, but I’ll be damned if I lose interest in bags!

Help, I’ve Lost Interest In Makeup!

Frustrated

What is a girl to do, one who blogs about beauty for goodness’ sake, when she’s actually lost interest in makeup?!

It’s sad, is what it is. It’s not that I’ve completely lost interest in it, as in I wouldn’t be wearing it anymore (God forbid!); just that the new ones just do not interest me. The only product which piqued my interest remotely was the NARS Modern Love palette. I’m not sure if it’s out at Mecca Cosmetica yet, as I haven’t been there in a long time. Imagine that, I haven’t stepped foot in that store in months! What the bleepin’ hell is happening to me?

I still enjoy reading beauty blogs, but somehow the products just don’t give me that “OMG-I-need-that” feeling. What happened to lemmings? I need that feeling back, dammit, or I might as well just close shop.

Sigh. Is there anyone out there who’s feeling the same? Or have, at least, gone through the same motion? I need inspiration, and I need it fast!

Birthday Extravaganza Winner

The birthday giveaway is now closed, and I’m very glad to announce the winner.

Congratulations, Jessica C!

I’ll be emailing you shortly for your mailing details. As for the rest, I was really happy and excited to receive your entries. It was simply overwhelming. All your birthday stories were simply fantastic!

My best birthday story? Well, I don’t exactly have the ONE best birthday to mention, but there are a couple which are incredibly memorable to me, and will forever be etched in my mind. The first one was a little birthday celebration my friends/ex-colleagues did for me whilst in Japan. I was going through a tough time then, but they really cheered me up big time. The second was the first birthday I celebrated with my then-boyfriend-now-husband. We were up at Shepparton for one of his work rotations. It was crazy cold there, and we huddled in front of the heater in the living room while having my mango mousse birthday cake. He even played (with his guitar) and sang me a song he wrote for me.

It’s actually three days past the actual birthday of the blog; still, better late than never. It really has been an amazing two years. I’ve got to know so many of you, actually got to meet some of you, and along the way, learned so much more about skincare and makeup than I ever did the past how-many years of my life. It’s all been a tremendous blessing to me, and I couldn’t have done it without you, dear readers.

If there’s anything I can improve on, do let me know. Building a community has its ups and downs, and I sure would love to work on keeping more ups than downs. Here’s to another year!

Love,
Tine
