BB Creamology: Esprique by KOSE, L’Oreal and Garnier

BB Creamology: Esprique by KOSE, L'Oreal and Garnier

Happy Monday, folks! I hope you’ve had a fab weekend. Melbourne was freezing!

Welcome to another segment of BB Creamology! I thought I’d be running out of BB creams to write about by now but it looks like that’s not happening any time soon. Beauty companies aren’t getting off the BB bandwagon just yet even though there are multiple-alphabet creams popping up left, right and centre. Well, if they aren’t, I guess I won’t either. 😛

Today, I’ve got 3 more BB creams to share with you. Instead of the usual medium coverage BB creams I normally talk about, these are light coverage BB creams, even the Japanese one. I’m not usually a fan of light-coverage BB creams because a lot of them are mostly tinted moisturisers to me but there’s one that tickled my fancy.

And I can bet you won’t be able to guess which one I liked best out of the three. 😉

Nailing It But Not Really: Revitanail Instant Dry Drops

Revitanail Instant Dry Drops

I’ve seen a number of brands do these kind of “dry drops” where the product instantly dries your nail polish but haven’t given them a go until now. When Revitanail sent me a bottle of their new Instant Dry Drops to try out, I was really curious in checking it out. Does it really dry my nail polish instantly? Like gel-or-shellac-UV-nail-polish instantly sort of thing?

Well, there’s only one way to find out so, time to paint my nails!

Read My Lips: Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnic in the Park

Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnic in the Park

Tanya Burr is pretty big in the British YouTube-land. Okay, make that very big. I actually only stumbled upon her channel at the beginning of the year. I won’t say that I’m her biggest fan but eh, she’s all right. Not going to say anymore lest I get thrown rotten tomatoes by her loyal fans. 😛

She launched her collection of lipglosses and nail polishes in January this year and since they were quite a hit, I thought I’d give one a go. Thankfully, Feel Unique had a sale going on few months ago and I managed to pick one up on sale. I wasn’t sure which shade to pick so I decided to go with a safe, wearable pink called Picnic in the Park.

FOTD: Purple Power (featuring Dior’s 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Femme-Fleur)

Dior's 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Femme-Fleur

When I first laid eyes on this eyeshadow palette, I must admit that I was filled with apprehension. Oh dear. A pink and purple eyeshadow palette? I can’t do pinks! Purples make me look like I’ve been punched in the eye! It’s such a beautiful palette and if it doesn’t work for me, damn, what a waste it would be. Plus when I swatched the individual colours on the back of hand (as you do), I was even more worried because 4 out of the 5 shades were frosty. Oh dear indeed.

But when I finally tried it on my eyes, it was a light bulb moment. Thank you oh lucky stars because when I worked away at blending the eyeshadows on my eyelids, all my fears were washed away. The colour combination of all of these colours are simply gorgeous!
