BB Creamology: Estée Lauder, The Body Shop and Benefit

BB Creamology: Estée Lauder, The Body Shop and Benefit

Happy Friday folks and welcome to another episode of BB Creamology!

If you’re new to this segment, BB Creamlogy is a series on the blog where I review 3 BB creams and tell you if they’re worth your dosh or not. I’ve been doing this series for a while now and to be honest, I’m running out of BB creams to talk about. Brands are ditching the BB and moving on to the CC, DD and whatnots making them seem like they’re a whole lot better than BB creams but more often that not, they’re just the same. Seriously, folks, whether the letters increase or not, they do just about the same thing as foundations.

As we’ve “moving on” (emphasis on the quotes please) to the CCs, DDs and whathaveyou, I’ll be adding those to future BB Creamology episodes as well. Unless the CC/DD/ZZ creams are super bloody fantastic that requires an entire post dedicated to just one product, I’ll be putting categorising them under the BB Creamology umbrella because again, same thing! What do you think?

BB Creamology: Estée Lauder, The Body Shop and Benefit

Anyway, back to today’s segment. This month, I’ve been trying a few more BB creams (all Western ones) which I’d like to share with you today. Two are pretty decent but one is just … well … you’ll just have to read on and find out!

Enbacci Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Essential Creme: Grapes For The Skin But It Ain’t Wine

Enbacci Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Essential Creme

In early March, I had the pleasure of attending the media launch of a new beauty brand called Enbacci. It’s an international skincare brand that is founded in Australia, with a lot of their products focusing on the plant stem cells of grapes. I was kindly given a bag of goodies that contained several of their skincare products to bring home and try.

Now as much as I enjoyed the afternoon of beauty talk and champagne, it doesn’t take a lot for my skeptic side to come out especially when one starts talking about using plant stem cells in cosmetics. To what I’ve gathered, plant stem cells in skincare products are simple plant extracts and they do not perform any sort of anti-aging work on the skin. There’s an interesting article on the Telegraph about this if you’d like to know more.

Still, all that beauty talk piqued my interest and the first thing I got my hands into was the Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Essential Creme.

Bloggie Wednesday: Ask Me Anything!

Bloggie Wednesday: Ask Me Anything!

© Warren Goldswain

It’s been at least 3 months since my last Ask Me Anything and since I’m feeling rather chatty today, why not come on over for a chat and, well, ask me anything!

If you’re new to the blog and don’t know what this segment is all about, it’s just as the name suggests: you can ask me any questions you want. It can be questions about blogging, beauty, food, tech, fashion (er really? Me? Fashion? Hah!), travel … seriously, whatever rocks your boat. I’ll try my best to answer them and if I can’t, perhaps the readers can help. You never know, it can get a bit crazy here. 😛

It’s been a busy week for me preparing for next week. Preparing for what, you say? If you’re following me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll know on soon enough *wink wink*.

What Would You Do: The Almighty Five Second Rule

What Would You Do: The Almighty Five Second Rule

© LoloStock

In folklore, the five-second rule states that food dropped on the ground will not be significantly contaminated with bacteria if it is picked up within five seconds of being dropped.*

Today’s scenario on What Would You Do came to mind when I was having lunch with Tim one day. We were exchanging some of the food we ordered when he dropped a really delicious piece of steak that was meant for me. I don’t think the two of us exclaim “Five second rule! Five second rule!” quickly enough. 😛

It made me think … how are you with the five second rule?
