Read My Lips: The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Coral Cutie

The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Coral Cutie (#105)

I must admit, I’ve never had a good impression of The Body Shop lipsticks. I tried a number of them out many years ago; they were waxy, taste awful and worst of all, they were always drying on the lips. I stopped bothering to check them out and for years, I hardly paid any attention to them.

That was until a couple of months ago. I attended an event by The Body Shop and in the goodie bag were a couple of the Colour Crush lipsticks. I have absolutely no idea when The Body Shop launched the Colour Crush lippies. It could be recently, it could be years ago … this was how long I’ve stopping caring. To be honest, I wasn’t excited enough to rip the plastic cover and try it out immediately. In fact, I left it to about a couple of weeks ago when I thought, oh what the hell, what have I got to lose?

Turns out, I lost all that time that I could have been trying more Colour Crushes out because blimey, they are good. The one I particularly enjoyed was the Coral Cutie (#105), which is what you’re seeing on my lips today. The colour payoff is simply marvellous and is more than comparable to high-end lipsticks from, say, Tom Ford. Kid you not.

Scrub A Dub Dub! Away With That Grubby Skin with Cara Mia’s Body Scrub in Bonsai

Cara Mia's Body Scrub in Bonsai

Last month, Cara from Cara Mia emailed me asking if I’d like to try out any of her body care products. She sent me a link to her Etsy store and whaddyaknow, she made them! I love supporting small businesses especially when they’re handmade items so I had to say yes. I picked out a body scrub and kept my fingers crossed that it’s going to be good.

Straight up, the body scrub smells pretty bloody amazing. It was a gamble deciding on which body scrub to choose when I only had a description of scents to choose from. I haven’t tried the rest of the scents but I hit the jackpot with the Bonsai. It’s just the sort of fragrance that is up my alley. It’s fruity with a hint of citrus. Love!

Ahh So Much Cuteness In The Ihana Pro Travel Makeup Brush Sets! (Plus A Giveaway!)

THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!

Ihana 5 Pc Travel Set Denim Series in Anchors Ahoy

I have a weakness for travel makeup brushes. I don’t actually travel all that much but when I lay eyes on a set of small brushes, my immediate thought would be “oooh that’d be great for travelling!“. Most of the time, I forget that the next time I’ll be travelling is probably in a year’s time but hey, the heart wants what the heart wants, right?

I have a trusty set of makeup brushes by Royal & Langnickel that I use faithfully when I’m away from home. They’re a full set that ranges from the face, eyes to the lips and comes in a light case that I love. The thing is, I don’t really need to lug all of those brushes with me because when I’m travelling, the last thing I want to fiddle with is eye makeup. I like to keep it simple so more often than not, a couple of eye brushes would suffice.

Ihana 5 Pc Travel Set Denim Series in Anchors Ahoy

So when Ihana asked if I’d like to check out their travel makeup brush set, I thought, why not? I don’t need that many makeup brushes with me when I’m away; just a couple of face brushes and 2 eye makeup brushes would be enough. Lo and behold, that’s what the Pro Travel Makeup Brushes were about. The one I have is the Anchors Ahoy! in the Denim series.
