BB Creamlogy: Olay Fresh Effects, Bioderma Crealine and Rimmel

BB Creamlogy: Olay Fresh Effects, Bioderma Crealine and Rimmel

Happy Monday folks! Hope you’ve had a great long weekend (we had two long weekends back-to-back in Australia. And it’s now over. Boo!). Mine was a weekend of eating-out breakfasts, off-leash park time with Janey and vegging out on the couch. Ah that’s my version of a good long weekend. 😀

Anyway, it’s onto a new week and today, I have another instalment of BB Creamology for you. Today it’s all about BB creams you can find in pharmacies and they’re from Olay, Bioderma and Rimmel. Unfortunately, one of them can only be found in French pharmacies but the other two, you’ll have absolutely no problem locating them at all.

Having said that, these are just mediocre BB creams. At least, they are to me. What am I talking about, you say?

What Would You Do: I’ll Return This and Buy It Again Cheaper, Thank You Very Much!

What Would You Do: I'll Return This and Buy It Again Cheaper, Thank You Very Much!

Man, I haven’t done a What Would You Do post in ages! If you’re new to the blog (hello!), a What Would You Do post is when I pose a scenario (can be funny, crazy, horrific, what have you), I give you 3 options on what you’d do if you were in that scenario. I’ve had great and hilarious answers in the past and today, I thought I’d do this again because I just came up with a great scenario.

Today’s Scenario

You bought a gorgeous dress from a departmental store. It’s quite an expensive dress but you really liked it, so what the hell, why not? Two days later, you found out that the departmental store was having a 50% discount off all women’s apparel. That dress that you just bought is now half the price you paid for.

What would you do?

NP Set Eye Slicks Are Just Not As Slick As They Should Be

NP Set Eye Slicks in Sahara and Gibraltar

I’m a lazy bugger when it comes to eye makeup. Give me something as simple as possible to work with and I’ll be your best friend for life. Like Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo in Back to the Bronze. It’s so easy to use and I’ll actually cry if Maybelline ever decides to discontinue this gem.

NP Set Eye Slicks in Sahara and Gibraltar

When NP Set’s Eye Slicks landed on my desk, I thought “awesome, more easy peasy eye makeup for me!“. The Maybelline Colour Tattoo may be gorgeous but it does harden with use and I feel like I’m already needing to scrape at the product. Eyeshadow that come in tubes like the Eye Slicks should be a lot easier to use, right?

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. At least not with the Eye Slicks. I was disappointed at how they really didn’t do anything for me.

Bloggie Wednesdays: What Wouldn’t You Blog About?

Bloggie Wednesdays: What Wouldn't You Blog About?

Happy hump day, folks!

I’ve been talking about increasing engagement on your blog and social media lately so instead of going on and on about it again today, I thought I’d write on a more light-hearted and easier-to-read topic (engagement bit will come again next week. Booyah!) given that the weather was quite miserable here in Melbourne.

Last week, I met up with a PR I worked with and she asked if I blogged about perfumes and if I reviewed them. Now if you’ve been a long time follower of Beautyholics Anonymous, you’ll find that I rarely mention perfumes here. Even when I do write about fragrances, it will not be a review.

That question got me thinking. Is there a particular topic or two that you will not blog about?
