NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner: No, Wait, What? Body Lotion In the Shower?!

NIVEA In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner

You gotta love technology for all the new products and gadgets you’re seeing out there. This is the second time I’ve stumbled upon an interesting yet unconventional beauty product and it’s not even a cleansing brush. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Remember when I talked about the Nanoblur and how odd it was when I realised that it actually goes over makeup and not under it? Well whaddyaknow, NIVEA has come up with a couple of body lotions that you actually use WHILST IN THE SHOWER. Body lotion. In the shower! What trickery is this?!

Wrap your head around it because when I first tried it out, it blew my mind.

I Had Breakfast With Rebecca Gibney. Y’know, As You Normally Would.

Olay Renegerist Breakfast with Rebecca Gibney

When I received an email invitation to a breakfast hosted by Olay Regenerist and that I’ll be eating with Rebecca Gibney, I did two things. First, I did a bit of a whoop whoop! Five seconds later, I RSVP-ed a resounding YES. ๐Ÿ˜€

Non-Australians must now be thinking who the heck is this person I speak of? She’s a Australian TV icon and is very popular for her role as Julie Rafter from Packed to the Rafters. She won a Gold Logie (Aussie version of the Emmys) in 2010 and is the ambassador for Olay Regenerist. Okay, I’ll admit that I don’t really watch Packed to the Rafters but I’m a fan of this very talented and beautiful woman. It was such an amazing opportunity for me to be able to meet her in person and sit across from her too, no less!

FOTD Featuring Alber Elbaz for Lancome

Alber Elbaz for Lancome

Finally, the Alber Elbaz collection for Lancome hits Australian shores! Man, I was wondering when we’d get this. I’ve been seeing this on American and British beauty blogs for months! I’m glad to be able to attend the launch of the collection in Melbourne and finally see what it looks like. In case you’re wondering, Alber Elbaz is the creative director for French fashion label, Lanvin.

Hypnose on the catwalk for Alber Elbaz. Four unique outfits for four legends of Lancome makeup. Alber Elbaz lends his unmistakable style to four worldwide best-selling Lancome mascaras and the new Hypnose eye palettes. He has thus imagined an irresistable limited edition collection: pure fashion down to the tiniest detail. “The real theme running through the collection is the eyes,” Mr Elbaz explains, “and rounded forms. The bottles are so fabulously rounded that they were my inspiration. I wanted to create rounded shapes with a hint of humour.”

Alber Elbaz for Lancome Hypnose Palette in Drama Eyes and Ombre Hypnose in Star Eyes

To capture Mr Elbaz’ theme and inspiration on emphasis on the eyes, I’ve decided to do a little FOTD look based on a couple of Alber Elbaz for Lancome Hypnose eyeshadow palettes that I was kindly gifted during the event. I don’t think I’ve ever done a heavier eye makeup! Yeah I’m boring like that. ๐Ÿ˜›

Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System Specialty Cleanser: The Tiniest 3rd Triplet of the Cleansing Brush Trio

Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System Specialty Cleanser

Remember when I blogged about Skin Physics’ Derma Sonic cleanser and how incredibly similar it is to the popular Clarisonic? Today I have yet another mechanical face brush to show you and it’s even cheaper than the first two!

Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System Specialty Cleanser

Now, I have to be clear about one thing. This is in no way similar to the Clarisonic or Derma Sonic. Even though they serve the same purpose, they operate very differently to each other. The Clarisonic and Derma Sonic work with very rapid movements at 300 per second. It’s so swift that what you feel on the skin are vibrations.

Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System Specialty Cleanser

The Olay brush, on the other hand, spins a lot slower in comparison. It’s a rotating system with a brush head that revolves at 350 times per minute. You can practically see the head spin whereas you can’t with the other two. When you turn the brush on, you have to hold it steady against your skin or else your hand and face will spin along with the brush. ๐Ÿ˜›
