What Would You Do #3: Does The 5 Second Rule Apply To Hotel Room Floors?

Welcome to the third episode of What Would You Do! I know it’s only the 3rd post in the mini series so far but I’m having heaps of fun coming up with interesting scenarios for you and enjoying your response to each scenario. I’m going to have to come up with tougher ones though. You folks are getting off easy! 😛

Let’s see how you answer today’s scenario. Today, it’s putting the 5 second rule to the test.

L’Herboflore Has Captured My Heart With Their Facial Sheet Masks

It’s not secret on the blog that I’m addicted to facial sheet masks. I put one on almost every other day especially during summer when it’s stinking hot outside and a cold mask makes the heat so much more bearable. Now that it’s getting colder, I still frequently use masks to maintain skin hydration. Just have to momentarily resist the shock of cold on the skin. 😛

My go-to for facial sheet masks for the past couple of years have been from My Beauty Diary. It’s affordable and feels great on the skin. I didn’t think I’d discover anything better (save for SKII masks, of course; that’s a whole new category of masks that I shall leave for another day and another post) until I tried the ones by L’Herboflore.

L'Herboflore Facial Sheet Masks

As some of you may know, blogging buddy and chicken rice aficionado Tina relocated to Taiwan some time ago. She’s now working with L’Herboflore and kindly sent me a whole heap facial L’Herboflore sheet masks to try out. 🙂

Bloggie Wednesdays: When Beauty Blogging (Almost) Becomes A Financial Burden

Bloggie Wednesdays: When Beauty Blogging (Almost) Becomes A Financial Burden

Finance and beauty. These are two words you probably never see together in the same sentence. Now finance and blogging, that’s a whole different story. Search these two words on Google and you’ll get about 47 million results.

What do I mean about beauty blogging almost becoming a financial burden? I was on the bog when a thought came to me (don’t you just love it when inspiration hits out of the blue? Yep, even when it’s toilet time :P). Whenever we buy beauty products, do we really buy it for ourselves because we like it or do we buy it simply “for the blog”? Are we spending a lot of money, buying entire makeup collections purely just to review them on the blog? And I’m not even talking about the added cost of running a blog!

I say this because many a time, I do. When I started blogging about beauty 6 years ago, we didn’t have products sent to us for editorial consideration. In fact, the only thing I was sent in the first year was a small bottle of hand lotion from the US (even then, I was already mighty chuffed because OMG SOME COMPANY IN THE US KNOWS MY BLOG!). So what do we do? We buy our own stuff. You want to review something? Buy it, try it then write about it. It started to become a habit of mine that lasted till now. If I see something new that captures my eye, my first thought isn’t “Oooh I can’t wait to try that! I wonder if it’ll look good on me?“. It’s “Oooh something new for the blog! I can write about this!“.
