The Fall of the Cherry Blossom Blush by Essence

essence Cherry Blossom Girl Blush in Asian Sensation

I’ve said this many times and I’ll still say it again – beauty bloggers enable each other. Badly. I see something gorgeous a fellow beauty blogger writes about or posts pictures on Instagram, and I’m out the door the next instant to get the same item. It’s madness, I tell you. Madness!

Today’s blush is an enabled item by Emma. When she tweeted a picture of the limited edition blush by essence, I knew I had to have it too. Plus I have a thing for cherry blossoms so it doesn’t take a genius to know this is right up my alley. ๐Ÿ˜›

Beautyholics Anonymous and the 2013 L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival: An Official L’Oreal Paris Blogger

For those of you who follow me on Twitter already know this because SOMEONE (yes, I’m looking at you, L’Oreal!) upped and spoiled my surprise! Okay okay it was my bad for not spilling the juice earlier in the week when I should (I’ll never make it as one of ’em news-breaking journalists, so there), so let’s all pretend you don’t know nothin’ and act surprised, k? ๐Ÿ˜›

Loreal Paris' Official Bloggers for LMFF 2013

How It Started

On New Year’s Eve in 2012, when Tim and I were sharing new year’s resolutions with each other (I shared, he scoffed at the idea of making resolutions), I told him I wanted to do something big for the blog in 2013. I wanted to move out of my blogging comfort zone. On a whim, I told him I wanted to cover one of the fashion shows in Australia. Preferably the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF), since I already am in Melbourne anyway. He told me to go for it.

Man, I was gung-ho. I started to write proposals and stuff, something I’ve never done before. I was just about to send my proposal to L’Oreal on why I could be a suitable candidate to help cover the LMFF when the very next day, I received an invitation from L’Oreal to be one of their official bloggers for the LMFF!

Bloggie Wednesday: Preparing Your Blog For When You Go On Holiday

Bloggie Wednesday: Preparing Your Blog For When You Go On Holiday

Are you planning a holiday this year? Lucky you! Are you planning to keep your blog running when you’re away at the beach sipping Mai Tais? Okay don’t tell me, I might just smack you out of envy. ๐Ÿ˜›

Blog planning before going on a break can be a bit of a pain but useful if you’d like to keep your blog running like usual whilst you’re away. I was so crazy busy the month before I left for Malaysia, and it wasn’t even about the packing. Packing took me 2 days, blog planning took me a full 4 weeks.

Here are a few ways you can keep your blog running when you’re not in front of your computer. At least, it’s how I did it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Is There Really A Cure For Split Ends With Pantene’s Clinicare Split End Fuser Leave-On Treatment?

Is There Really A Cure For Split Ends With Pantene's Clinicare Split End Fuser Leave-On Treatment?

Now, Pantene and I, we’ve always had a good thing going on. There’s been so much talk about the high amount of silicone in Pantene haircare products for years. To be honest, it didn’t deter me. For such a big company (owned by Procter & Gamble), heaps of money gets thrown into the research of better technology for haircare. It’s one of the very few haircare brands I still love and trust today simply because it makes my hair feel and look good. It has for years and is still going strong.

When I was sent a box of the Clinicare Split End Fuser Leave-On Treatment for editorial consideration almost a year ago, it stumped me. I didn’t know whether to try it or even review it because I know that you simply cannot cure split ends. There’s no product in the world that can magically fuse split hair and make it like new again. Products that claim to heal split ends simply seal the split end temporarily to help it look healthier but the damage cannot be reversed.

After having this box in my bathroom cabinet for so many months, I decided to take the tubes out of the box and give them a try. I stubbornly dared it to defy biology. I wanted to see if these would “cure” my split ends.
