Matte Skin (Two Ts!) With Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Matifying Fluid

Oooh that Lisa Eldridge sure is a terrible one, isn’t she? First she makes us jealous from her mad makeup skills, makes us wanna kick our deadbeat ex-boyfriends in the nuts while looking damn good, and she drives us green with envy with her trips to Paris. Terrible, I say. Terrible.

Okay I love her.

Thanks to Eldridge’s recommendations of French brands to try, I’ve been looking for opportunities to try out products from Caudalie. Unfortunately, to date, Caudalie is still not available in Australia. So when an opportunity for a shopping spree on Zuneta came about a few months ago, I jumped on the chance. Zuneta doesn’t have the full range of Caudalie products on the website, so I only managed to pick up a couple of items. One of them is the Vinosource Moisturizing Matifying Fluid.

It’s always a bit of a hit and miss when you buy skincare products online, especially when you can’t try them out first. So how did this moisturiser fare?

Back On The Saddle Even If It’s Only Just Halfway

Back On The Saddle Even If It's Only Just Halfway

Happy hump day, folks!

As you can see, there’s no Bloggie Wednesdays today. There haven’t been any posts for the past few days too because I’ve been struck by the almighty flu. Fever, violent chills, aching joints, mouth ulcers, chesty cough, bad sore throat … ah, the works. I really cannot recall the last time I was this ill.

The poor husband had to take time off work to take care of me (for him to have to do that is saying a lot, not because he doesn’t want to, but I’ve never been that sick for him to have to) as getting out of bed was a real feat without feeling as though the whole world is spinning. I’m glad to say I’m feeling a lot better now. The fever and chills are gone. I’m still plagued with a very congested chest, cough, fatigue and everytime I swallow, it’s like swallowing needles. But other than that, I’m slowly recovering 🙂

On the blog-front, I usually have drafts of blog posts ready for times like this, times when I just don’t have the time or energy to blog. Well, whaddyaknow, Murphy’s Law hit home this time because for once, I had absolutely nothing drafted. *facepalm*

So here’s a little Bloggie Wednesdays tip for you: have blog posts ready for times when your systems are down!

I’m going to have to take it real easy this week because the damn flu can relapse at any time. Regular blogging will resume very soon. For now I’ll be replying all of your comments and catching up on emails.

Till then, take real good care of yourselves, catch me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, and I’ll see you very soon! 🙂

Five Minutes with My Favourite Blogger: Kimmi @ The Plastic Diaries

Five Minutes with My Favourite Blogger is a new series of posts where I’ll be showcasing some of my favourite bloggers. These are the bloggers whom I admire and inspire me.

Enjoy!

Five Minutes with My Favourite Blogger: Kimmi @ The Plastic Diaries

Image Credits: Rachel Bilson | Bora Bora | Chocolate

My style icon: Rachel Bilson – In my mind I like to think we have the same body (and hair, face, money, etc). She carries off ‘petite’ so well and always looks classy.

Dream holiday destination: Bora Bora. I have been dreaming of going there since I was a child. It just sounds so far away and isolated. Plus the whole place is 6 star and I do love a little luxury.

One random thing you can find in my bag: I try to keep my bag pretty light so I guess the most random thing would be Xanax. I am prone to severe panic attacks and a paper bag usually doesn’t suffice.

My favourite item of makeup: That is like asking which is my favourite dog child. I love them all. But right now it is lipstick/balm hybrids, especially the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters.

You will never see me without: My iPhone. It carries my life in it and I would be wandering in circles without it.

I’m absolutely addicted to: Chocolate. Ian Somerhalder. Fine dining restaurants. Saving animals. Sephora. Travelling. The question should be what am I NOT addicted to.

One thing on my bucket list: My bucket list is ridiculously long, but one thing at the top of my list is to be able to buy a nice big piece of land where I can rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals, with a live-in vet or two and volunteers accommodation.

Kimmi blogs at The Plastic Diaries.
