I think that up till about a couple of months ago, the only French skincare brand I’ve actually used is Avene (Edit: After this post was up, I just realised that Avene’s not the only French brand I’ve tried. Another good one is Guinot, which I missed). Nothing wrong with the brand, but due to limited availability of affordable French skincare brands in Australia, I wasn’t contented with just one brand. I wanted to try out more.
It’s often a misconception that Asian brands are more suited for Asians, Western brands more for Western skin, etc. In fact, I’ve heard and read rave reviews about Westerners loving Japanese skincare, Asians loving the French ones, and so on. I believe that if it works for you, it WORKS for you. Why limit yourself to just the same types of skincare, eh?
When Uriage came to town, I was excited. I’ve heard of the brand yonks ago in Malaysia. I can’t remember if it was available at Malaysian pharmacies back then or if I read it in a Malaysian beauty magazine, but I’ve definitely heard about it.
It’s finally in Australia!
