Jurlique Calendula Cream: Proof That Skincare Does Not Need To Only Go On The Face

Sometimes, skincare products do not need to just go on the face. As long as there’s skin which needs it, that’s where the product should go.

Last week, I had a bit of an incident with my Braun epilator. Through no fault of the epilator, I epilated my arms and legs without prepping my skin first. Usually I would epilate every 2-3 weeks, depending on how quickly the fuzz on my arms and legs regrow.

I’ve been having a very lazy 4 months and I *ahem* haven’t been grooming my arm and leg fuzz much. My skin was dry, and I forgot to slather some lotion on it first before epilating. The process was surprisingly painful (I usually feel no pain epilating), and my skin was left very red and raw. I still have a faint red strip on my legs where the epilator yanked my hair off ๐Ÿ™

The next day was hell on legs. My arms recovered fairly quickly, but everytime I take a shower, my legs would sting like a mother, and the redness would come back twofold. I needed something to soothe my legs before putting my pajamas on because if I don’t, no matter how soft my PJs are, it will chafe.

Thank heavens for Jurlique’s Calendula Cream.

How Do You Trial Skincare Products?

How Do You Trial Skincare Products?

As a beauty blogger, I’m fortunate to be sent products for consideration. I don’t get a lot of makeup sent to me for review as my blog does not concentrate very much on makeup, but more on skincare. Sometimes I wish I could concentrate more on makeup reviews. It’s still not an area I’m particularly good at but I’m sure you’ll agree with me that it’s far easier to review makeup than it is to review skincare products.

For makeup, I can try out a particular mascara, lippie, eyeshadow, etc for a week, and if I like it (or not), I can review them very quickly. Unfortunately, this is not applicable to skincare products. Skincare products take at least 6-8 weeks per item for the effects to really show. The minimum amount of time for trial should be at the very least 4 weeks. I normally wouldn’t trust any reviews of skincare products that have taken less than 4 weeks to trial (this does not apply to cleansers though, or anything that can be washed off in less than 20 seconds).

Lancome Vernis in Love 105M Corail In Love

I love coral nail polishes. I like how they go with my warm skin tone, especially if they are cremes. Unfortunately, not all coral nail polishes make my heart go zing. Sometimes they miss the mark by just that much.

Lancome Vernis in Love 105M Corail In Love

I received a bottle of Lancome’s Vernis in Love in 105M Corail in Love during a blogger event for the launch of Lancome’s Rouge in Love lipsticks. When I first took the bottle out of the box, I was actually very excited to give it a go.
