New To Makeup Brushes? Try NP Set’s

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending an event held at the Napoleon Perdis Academy at South Yarra for the launch of several new makeup products from NP Set. We were kindly given some NP Set makeup to play with (always happy to play with makeup :P), and in the goodie bag were seven makeup brushes by NP Set. I’m always happy to receive makeup, but when it’s makeup brushes, oooh even more exciting!

Naruko Raw Job’s Tears Supercritical CO2 Whitening Night Gelly Is Like My Favourite Sweet Barley Drink

It’s not a surprise that I’m quite a fan of Naruko products. I find most of their products very suitable for my combination skin, and they’re affordable. So when I was in Malaysia at the end of 2011, I stocked up on more Naruko items. One of the items I purchased was from the Raw Job’s Tears range, which I’ve not encountered, and that was the Supercritical C02 Whitening Night Gelly.

Reminiscing My Days of Enid Blyton With My Green Satchel

Enid Blyton First Term at Malory Towers

Growing up, I was a big fan of Enid Blyton books. My favourite ones were the boarding school stories like Malory Towers and St Clare’s. Oh how I enjoyed them, dreaming about the adventures I’d have with them at boarding school (and *ahem* smacking someone with a paddle brush :P). In fact, I remembered asking my mum to send me to one just so I could have an “Enid Blyton Malory Towers-style” experience. That was before I found out what boarding schools were like in Malaysia, and suddenly, thoughts dreams were dashed 😛

In her books, most students carried satchels. I didn’t know what satchels looked like until about 10 years ago. I can’t really recall what students in the UK carried their books in when I was in university, but when I was living in Japan, most Japanese students carried scarlet leather satchels, that could also be converted into backpacks. I knew then that I wanted one too, and after seeing LeGeeque‘s and Paris B‘s satchels from the Cambridge Satchel Company, it was high time I got myself one too.
