My Beauty Corner & Makeup Collection

Note: Picture-heavy post

After showing you a peek into my beauty cupboard last week, a number of you wanted to see my makeup collection. I love beauty products collection posts; I’m such a voyeur I tell ya ๐Ÿ˜› And because I aim to please, here it is.

First of all, I thought I’d show you my beauty corner. It’s nothing fancy though, just a chest of drawers and a wooden box, both from IKEA. I love the wooden box, and it’s a real pity that IKEA has discontinued the range.

My Beauty Corner

The board is leaning against the wall was an old corkboard that I used to have as my inspiration board. When we moved to our current home, I misplaced all the old pictures and had to start afresh. In the end, I decided to keep it simple with some fancy paper, lace trimmings glued on the frame, and scrapbooking bits on the board. It’s still a work in progress.

Mirror was from The Shaver Shop, fragrance diffuser from Revlon. Tissue box cover from Malaysia (even my tissues need a pretty cover. Tsk tsk :P)

Bloggie Wednesdays: Ask Me Anything!

Bloggie Wednesdays: Ask Me Anything

Happy Hump Day, peeps!

Today’s Bloggie Wednesday is going to be slightly different. This is something inspired by Beautyfool and Tea Noir (both blogs that I adore, by the way), and I figured why not try it out here. Today, it’s Ask Me Anything day! I think Tumblr has a similar feature, but since I’m not active on Tumblr, why not do it here?

This is how it works. Just ask me any question you like in the comments, and I’ll answer it there. It does not have to be beauty or blog-related, but if you do have any, feel free to holler.

Examples: my favourite food, drinks, if I sleep on my stomach or not (I don’t. Squishes the bazoomas that I already don’t have), if I prefer regular knickers or G-strings (regular knickers, preferably boy shorts. I can’t do bum floss), if I can fly (well, I believe I can. A certain R Kelly said so), most hated word (“moist”. Even typing that gave me the shivers), etc.

You get the gist. Just don’t ask me if I sell a certain BB cream and how much it would cost to buy it from me. Oh yeah, I get emails like that on an almost daily basis and it drives me bonkers.

Do keep it clean. I think I will draw the line at favourite sex position (although now that I’ve mentioned it, it’s …. no).

Over to you! ๐Ÿ˜€

Naruko Narcissus Total Defence Repair Cream – Whipped Cream in a Jar

During my last Sasa haul, I bought a few products from NARUKO to try, given that Val has been raving about the very popular Taiwanese brand. I’ve been using the Narcissus Total Defence Repair Cream for close to two months now, so it’s about time I gave it a review.

NARUKO Narcissus Total Defence Repair Cream

Description:
This state-of-the-art cream contains multi-functional peptides, narcissus bulb extract, Phytoferulin (R) and SyriCalmCLR (TM) to boost skin’s rejuvenation, visibly minimize fine lines, protect against environmental damage and restore youthful appearance. It reveals healthy, radiant and glowing complexion.

NARUKO Narcissus Total Defence Repair Cream

The cream comes in a sleek and heavy glass jar. I’m not too keen that the jar is transparent (ingredients are not as efficacious when they’re stored in transparent containers), but most moisturisers come in transparent/translucent jars or bottles these days, so I guess you have to pick your battles.

The cream also comes with a spatula, which is rare these days for a non-high end brand. Even though I don’t use the spatula to scoop the moisturiser to use (since I’m the only one using the cream anyway), I think it’s a very good move on NARUKO’s part to provide one, so that we keep the cream as hygienic as possible. This way, you don’t have to stick your grubby mitts into the moisturiser. But I did. ๐Ÿ˜›
