Louise Young Super Blush Brush – The Most Luxurious Makeup Brush I Own

A while ago, Emily tweeted about getting Louise Young makeup brushes, and asked if anyone wanted to jump in onto the shopping spree with her. I have to admit that till that day, I’ve never heard of Louise Young nor her cosmetics line. Oh yeah. Facepalm moment right there.

I had a browse on her website, and immediately liked what I saw. It was a risk for me to splurge on something I’ve never even tried, much less heard of, so I decided to just get one item, which is the blush brush. Even so, the brush was expensive. Was I nuts? Oh definitely. Did I regret the purchase? Well, read on 😉

Bloggie Wednesdays: Blogs For Blogging Inspiration

Dang, could there be any more “blog” in that title?*

I follow over 200 blogs, and in that number of blogs, I read about 100 updated posts daily. That’s a whole lot of inspiration going on right there. Still, even though I blog about beauty, I admit that just reading beauty blogs can be a bit dry at times, which is why I always recommend reading blogs outside your nice. Me, I particularly enjoy foodie, fashion, personal and lifestyle blogs.

And then there are a few that I particularly follow for blogging inspiration about, well, blogging. I used to follow blogs like Problogger.net, Copyblogger, etc, and while they’re incredible bloggers, I have to say that there are times when I can’t really get what they’re going on about. Overwhelming information on what you must and must not do, SEO tips and all that to create a better blog just isn’t for me, I suppose. Plus, no offence guys, your blogs aren’t pretty to begin with 😛

So here are a few blogs that I do follow for blogging inspiration. They may cover a variety of topics – fashion, beauty, design, topography, etc. They don’t just blog about blogging, but also write about their passion, which are the themes to their blogs.

My Current Favourite Showertime Prodz

My Current Favourite Showertime Prodz 4

This is not my bathroom. Damn.

I love experimenting with new shower products. I have Monday to Sunday shower gels and creams, all of which I take turns to use. Yes, I’m spoiled like that 😛 What can I say, I like having a variety to choose from.

My Current Favourite Showertime Prodz 3

Here are a few of my current favourite showertime products. By current, I mean for the past 6 months. I wouldn’t exactly call them my all-time favourites, because new ones emerge every month, and whenever I’m shopping for groceries at Coles or Woolies, I hope to find something new. By the way, shower creams/gels aren’t beauty products. They’re *ahem* groceries, if you know what I mean 😛

Botanics of Australia Invigorating Body Wash with Desert Lime

You know what this smells like? Cola. I kid you not. It smells like you’re showering with Pepsi. I admit I don’t have a clue what desert lime is, but it sure smells bloody amazing. The first whiff of the product when you uncap it would be Cola. When it’s on the skin, it smells like lime and mint. It’s unusual, and it’s very refreshing in the mornings. Imma get me 2 more bottles of this!

L’occitane Amande Shower Oil

This is what I call my “luxe shower item”. It’s not something I use often, but something I save for days when I need that extra pampering and pick-me-up. The oil feels oh-so-luxurious on the skin, and emulsifies when in contact with water. Even though it’s a bath oil, it cleanses the skin well, and does not leave an oily, icky feeling. The almond oil leaves the skin soft and supple. Love!
