Where Do You Get Your Blogging Ideas?

My Blogging Station

My blogging station. It’s nice when the sun’s up. Oh yes, I multitask on the iPad as well.

All of my blog posts started out as drafts. Years ago I would sit in front of the computer and ideas would just come rushing in. Nowadays, no such luck. Inspiration would hit just about anywhere BUT the computer.

Examples on times I would be struck with blogging ideas:

  • On the train or bus, when there’s nothing else to do during the journey but get lost in your thoughts.
  • In front of the TV, when I’m watching a movie or the news.
  • In the shops, when I’m window-shopping for beauty products, clothes, bags, shoes, etc. You’d be surprised that I even get inspiration when I’m buying chicken at Woolies.
  • On the porcelain throne. Hey, when inspiration strikes, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing 😛
  • Chatting with fellow beauty bloggers. This is the best way for me because you’re never out of stuff to talk about, which you can turn into useful topics for your blog. It’s also good to hear feedback about a product or service you’re about to review from other bloggers as well.

Where do you get your blogging ideas?

PS: I drafted this post on the iPad when Sunrise on Channel 7 was playing in the background on a Sunday morning 🙂

Pond’s Cold Cream: A Cool Classic Or Time To Move On?

Pond's Cold Cream 1

This is a long-time cult classic product and was incredibly popular back in the day when ladies used to use cold cream to remove the heavy amount of makeup they have on their skin. Apparently Kylie Minogue uses this daily in replacement of Botox to keep her looking so well and youthful. I stumbled upon jars of this at Chemist Warehouse months ago, and since it was only $5 for such a big jar, I thought I’d try it out to see what the fuss was all about.

Pond's Cold Cream 2

Description:
Gentle yet effective deep cleansing action removes hidden dirt and make-up, even stubborn waterproof mascara. Its special blend of ingredients softens as it cleanses in one simple step so your skin feels smooth and radiantly clean & never tight or dry.

Pond's Cold Cream Ingredients

Here’s how you use it. Simply scoop up a generous amount of the cream and smooth on the skin with your fingertips. Next, gently remove with a tissue, facial cotton or a damp washcloth for deep cleansing. It states that even the most stubborn of makeup would be lifted away while essential oils and emollients replace moisture, leaving your skin soft, smooth and supple.
