The Not So Magic But Still Blurry L’Oreal Revitalift Magic Blur

This week, I’m doing a brand focus on L’Oreal to celebrate the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (formerly known as L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival). This brand focus is not sponsored content.

L'Oreal Revitalift Magic Blur

I had a thought. Do you reckon that with so much Photoshopping going around in magazines and now even blogs, that cosmetic companies say “hey, since they’re Photoshopping skin to look flawless, how about we sell them a product that gives them that Photoshopped flawless skin look in a bottle, eh?“. Geez, the things I think about when I’m in the shower. 😛

Think about it. Many beauty brands are coming up with these blurring-skin effect primers now. Indeed Labs came up with the Nanoblur. Garnier with the Perfect Blur. L’Oreal now has the Revitalift Magic Blur. But really, do they even work?

VAMFF 2014: A Sneak Peek of the Arrivals Village

VAMFF 2014 Arrivals Village

Happy first day of VAMFF folks!

The festival started off with a very windy morning at Docklands today where we were given a sneak peek into the VAMFF Arrivals Village. This is what you’ll see when you first step onto Central Pier this evening. Graeme Lewsey, CEO of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, unveiled the on-site activities by festival partners Virgin Australia, L’Oreal Paris, Lavazza, Dulux, Ted Baker, Emporium Melbourne, BMW, Westfield and more.

L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint: An Almost Holy Grail If Not For One Thing

This week, I’m doing a brand focus on L’Oreal to celebrate the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (formerly known as L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival). This brand focus is not sponsored content.

When I first heard that L’Oreal has come up with a foundation very similar to Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Fusion Makeup, to tell you the truth, I wasn’t entirely impressed. I don’t have the Giorgio Armani Maestro but I have tried it out in store, played with samples of it and I didn’t like it. The not-quite-foundation, not-quite-primer thing from Giorgio Armani sank into my fine lines and exacerbated them like nobody’s business. Good thing I didn’t drop a lot of money on it!

L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

When L’Oreal launched the Nude Magique Eau de Teint, I swatched it on the back of my hand and first thoughts were “oh dear, it’s like that Giorgio Armani Maestro”. It took me a while to finally try it out on my face. But when I did, I had a 180 degrees change of mind. Turns out, I absolutely love it!

Thank You

Heart

I wasn’t going to blog today (y’know, Sunday, Sabbath, day of rest, rot on couch, lazy as arse … y’know, a good Sunday 😛 ) but I just had to write a quick one today to thank you.

The comments I’ve had on this week’s Bloggie Wednesday post was overwhelming. Not in the amount of comments but overwhelming as to how much each of those words touched my heart. I honestly did not write that to seek validation. It was a moment of weakness that I wanted to share with you and to tell every blogger out there, regardless of your niche, that you’re not alone in your blogging insecurities and frustrations.
