Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and Pressed Powder: I’d Say It’s All Nekkid!

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and Pressed Powder

Revlon, I love your foundations, I really do. I’ve discovered a lot of great ones ever since I started using your makeup and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. The ColorStay whipped foundation gives my combination and rather holey-around-the-nose skin great coverage and lasts for hours. So does the Age Defying foundation. I’m in love with your PhotoReady cream blushes and think that overall, your PhotoReady range is pretty awesomesauce.

But what the *censored* is up with your foundation packaging?!

Sigh.

Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out Revlon’s latest addition their base makeup family and that’s the Nearly Naked range. The ones I tried out were the Nearly Naked foundation in 150 Nude and the pressed powder of the same range in Medium.

Formulated with weightless hollow silica pigments, the breaktrough Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup balances skin and makeup so they work together – allowing the makeup to mimic skin’s tone and texture. A blend of green tea, black tea, oatmeal and jojoba help maintain your natural glow for skin that looks naturally perfect while SPF 20 helps protect from further damage. And the best part – it truly feels as if you’re not wearing any makeup! Use alone or together with the Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder for fresh, flawless skin with undetectable coverage.

Calm Itchy Eyes and Fine Lines with Dermalogica’s UltraCalming UltraSmoothing Eye Serum

I have the worst luck with eye creams. My undereye area is extremely delicate and is prone to premature fine lines. It’s also very susceptible to eye creams that are just slightly richer that what my skin can take. With eye creams that are too rich for my undereye area comes milia or oil seeds.

Milia

I can’t remember which eye cream I was using a year ago but soon after using it, an oil seed grew on my left eye. I couldn’t get rid of it because it’s so near my eye. It’s not just there; it’s bloody growing! The skin around it is starting to sag as well and it just looks awful every time I do a close-up of my left eye. As I’m worried about sprouting more of these oil seeds, I have to be very careful as to what eye creams I use, particularly in their texture and consistency.

Dermalogica UltraCalming UltraSmoothing Eye Serum

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to try out Dermalogica’s UltraCalming UltraSmoothing Eye Serum. It really does look and feel like a regular skin serum if not more watery. Just like its UltraCalming range, the eye serum smells faintly of lavender which is lovely.

Beauty Tip: Keep a Bottle of Rubbing Alcohol In Your Purse. Especially If You Use Public Loos!

Beauty Tip: Keep a Bottle of Rubbing Alcohol In Your Purse. Especially If You Use Public Loos!

The most essential item on my dresser isn’t skincare or makeup. In fact, it’s one of my most important household items in my home and that’s rubbing alcohol. Last year, I wrote about the importance of having rubbing alcohol at home. Today, I’m going to ask you to put some in your purse and take it out of the house!

I decanted some rubbing alcohol into an atomizer I got from Daiso. It’s thin and tiny enough to fit in my bag. I find rubbing alcohol especially useful when using public toilets. Now I’m not particularly germ-phobic and don’t feel like I have to wash my hands with soap after touching every surface. But the one thing I don’t like using in public toilets is squat loos. My royal bum needs the sitting loo, y’see. 😛
