2012 has been one heck of a beauty-packed year. It’s a year of new discoveries for me, learning that expensive beauty products doesn’t mean they are better, cheap doesn’t mean it’s worse and learning not to write something off without actually trying it first (with plenty of eaten humble pie along the way). It’s a year of learning what my skin needs.
I’ve been going through my archives for 2012 and have picked some of my favourites for the year. Could they be yours too? 🙂

My style icon: Audrey Hepburn. She’s so elegant and graceful. She was never into trends and wore classic pieces that would look chic no matter the era. Like her, I prefer classic pieces that I can wear through the years… even though I do own trendy coral jeans. But in my defense I did buy them for $15 from BigW so I definitely didn’t spend a lot of $$$ on a trend piece.
Dream holiday destination: My dream was always to go to Macchu Picchu in Peru, but I’ve already done that a few years ago. So I guess my next dream destination is Morocco. The husband and I were talking about going there last year but instead we brought a little person into this world!
One random thing you can find in my bag: A baby rattle. I have a 4 month old son, need I say more?
My favourite item of makeup: Readers of my blog will know the answer to this straight away. Lipsticks! The bolder the better!
You will never see me without: Manicured nails. I just don’t feel put together if my nails aren’t painted.
I’m absolutely addicted to: Crusty bread and haloumi cheese sandwiches. I could eat that for lunch every single day.
One thing on my bucket list: I’m ashamed to say this, but I don’t know how to swim. My previous excuse of being born in a land-locked country (Armenia) with no access to the beach doesn’t really cut it since I’ve been living in Australia for over 20 years! So I’d say the one thing on my bucket list is to learn to swim!

Welcome to another episode of BB Creamology!
The first episode featured a couple of Western BB creams. Today, I’m going to do mini reviews of more Asian BB creams instead. I’ve always preferred Asian BB creams to Western ones because I think they work better for Asian skin. Having said that, one of my favourite BB creams does belong to a Western brand so I guess you can’t judge BB creams by, er, culture. 😛
The BB creams I’ll be writing about today are only available in Asia at the moment. You can also get them online from Asian beauty e-tailers or eBay (please only go for reputable sellers with high ratings. Personally, I don’t buy from sellers who have less than 99% in ratings).

I have thoroughly enjoyed your best moments of 2012. Some had amazing holidays, had babies, got new jobs, started blogging, hosted blogging conferences, ran half marathons, and so many more. One even got in contact with a long-lost friend. These are great achievements, folks, and I’m so glad we got to share your happiness too.
