Daiso Sponge Cleaner For Squeaky Clean Makeup Brushes and Sponges

I’ll admit I’m not diligent at cleaning my makeup brushes. When I first started using makeup many years ago, I, erm, washed my brushes once every 6 months. That is, if I even remember to wash them in the first place.

Of course, back then, I didn’t know about makeup brushes and microbiology. To me, dirty just meant dusty (my house in Malaysia does attract a fair bit of dust on a daily basis), and the way to clean a “dusty” brush was just to flick it a few times and then it goes back on my skin.

Have I freaked you out enough yet? ๐Ÿ˜›

The problem is, it’s pure laziness on my part in not washing my brushes. Too lazy to take all of my brushes to individually clean with shampoo and conditioner, too lazy to rinse the detergent out of the brushes, too lazy to wait. There must be a way to clean the brushes quickly and easily.

Thankfully, I found two ways of cleaning my brushes.
1) Spot-clean each brush with a bottle of brush cleaner spray at the end of the day.
2) Clean all brushes with the Daiso Sponge Cleaner.

Bloggie Wednesdays: Fear of Missing Out

Bloggie Wednesdays: Fear of Missing Out

It was 19 March 2007 when I signed up for Twitter. Just like other social media platforms I signed up for, it was barely touched until almost two years later when more people I knew became active on Twitter. I thought what the heck, give it a try. I don’t know why people would be interested in knowing what I ate, when I slept, what books I read and so on, but I figured I would at least give it a try.

It wasn’t long before I was hooked, and boy, the addiction was bad.

First thing in the morning when I was awake, I would reach over to my bedside table, pick my phone up, and access the Twitter app (I use Echofon). I checked it at least once every hour (Twitter APIs only allow a maximum of displaying 200 new tweets per refresh). I checked Twitter when I was having meals with my husband. The last thing I did before I slept (lights off and everything), would be to check Twitter again.

Obsessed much? Yep, that’s me.

Wake Me Up Before I Go Go with Rimmel’s Wake Me Up Foundation

Bam! Another corny title. I’m on fire this week! ๐Ÿ˜›

I’ve been rather fascinated with foundations this winter. I’m usually more of a BB cream girl, even during the past few winters. This winter, however, I’ve been experimenting more and more with different foundations and have discovered a number of pretty good ones.

For drugstore brands, most of you know that my favourite foundie’s the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation. It still is. But in my search for good (and possibly better) drugstore foundations, I stumbled upon one which is pretty darn good too.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

There are plenty of positive reviews of Rimmel’s Wake Me Up foundation on the blogosphere, which tempted me to give this one a try. I bought a bottle to try when I was picking up medication for Tim. Oh, and since it’s all in one receipt, this is also *ahem* categorised as meds. Shhh!! ๐Ÿ˜›
