How To Look Like You’ve Just Stepped Out Of A Salon

Never let a hair dryer be too hot or too close.
The greater the volume (you want), the bigger the brush (you need).
Hair longer than elbow length is too long.
When drying hair always finish with a blast of cold air; this will seal cuticles and add shine. Do not buy a hair dryer without a cold air option.
The optimum styling time for hair is when it is 85% dry. Hair drying = hair volume + a groomed finish. Drying hair with a hair dryer lifts the hair from the roots, and gives added body. Natural drying promotes natural curls and waves. Don’t fry, attack or over-dry your hair. LOVE your hair.
Don’t over wash your hair. Excessive shampooing and styling strips the hair of its natural oils.
Even if you are growing your hair, it still needs trims. Split ends lead to unhealthy, stunted growth, and then where will you be?
To give hair added luxury and shine, always do the final rinse using bottled water. That sounds decadent, but tap water around the world as a variety of different pH levels amd some harm the hair. Using bottled water ensures a neutral/balanced pH level. Within a month your hair will have a natural shine and improved lustre.

What Every Woman Should Have And Know
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
something perfect to wear if the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a youth she’s content to leave behind.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a past juicy enough that she’s looking forward to retelling it in her old age.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a set of screwdrivers,
a cordless drill,
and a black lace bra.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
one friend who always makes her laugh …
and one who lets her cry.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honoured.
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …
a feeling of control over her destiny.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to fall in love without losing herself.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without ruining the friendship.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
when to try harder …
and when to walk away.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that she can’t change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips,
or the nature of her parents.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that her childhood may not have been perfect …
but its over.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she would and wouldn’t do for love or more.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to live alone…
even if she doesn’t like it.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
whom she can trust,
whom she can’t,
and why she shouldn’t take it personally.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
where to go …
be it to her best friend’s kitchen table …
or a charming inn in the woods …
when her soul needs soothing.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she can and can’t accomplish in a day …
a month … and a year.
Butler Bag by Jen Groover

Gosh, I wouldn’t mind me one of these. To try out anyway. My bag’s pretty messy; searching for my keys, and mobile phone seem like such a feat on a busy day (short of tossing my bag inside out). It’d be great to have a bag like this; at least I’d know where things are in an instant. It’ll definitely be a time-saver.
Still, with these fixed-sized compartments, I’d imagine the bag to be rather bulky. Also, the items would have to be rather small to be able to fit into these compartments (bigger items would again, be tossed into the bag).
Oh well, despite the disadvantages, I’d love to have something like this, at least, to give it a go. Being such a bag lover that I am, that is
The Classic Bag is available at Butler Bag for USD$95, whilst the Hybrid Bag at USD$150 (shipping is free in the US when two bags are ordered).
Review: Estee Lauder’s Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder

This loose powder provides flawless coverage and luminous finish on your skin, after you’ve applied your foundation. What I like about this powder is that, compared to loose powders by Clinique and Shiseido, it’s very fine, and does not make your makeup look cakey.
Description:
For a luminous finish that minimizes the look of lines and wrinkles.
Special ingredients diffuse light as it hits your skin, creating a “soft-focus” effect that visibly smooths the appearance of your skin.
Dermatologist-tested.
The loose powder comes with a small puff which is used to apply the powder. The blue container has a plastic cover with holes in it, to prevent overspill of powder (you wouldn’t want too much powder on your skin either; just a light overall sweep will do).
I prefer to very lightly puff my face with powder, and use my face brush to even the application. By sweeping the brush in a downward angle, I “close” the pores, giving my skin a more flawless appearance.

I use Transparent 06; apparently this is a popular choice of colour amongst Malaysians, as they are almost always sold out. I remembered going from one shopping centre to another, to the Estee Lauder counters just to get this particular colour, and more often than not, they were sold out, and I had to wait about 2 to 4 weeks before they restock. I don’t know why they take so long to replenish their stock; it’s best to get the powder when it’s available, and not wait till your supply’s dwindled.
Estee Lauder’s Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder retails at RM120 at all Estee Lauder counters.
What I like about it: The fine powder gives my skin a flawless look, and I do not feel as though I’m wearing anything on my face
What I did not like about it: Malaysian Estee Lauder counters seem to take ages to get the loose powder replenished.
