How to Look Like You’ve Had Ten Hours’ Sleep
I read somewhere that you can also use a teaspoon (leave it in the freezer for a bit), and then apply it over your eyes to get rid of the puffiness. After reading this, instead of grabbing that bag of frozen peas, I wonder if I can use my packet of leftover frozen fish fingers instead.
Fade dark circles
I like the bit about using potatoes on the eyes. So they’re not just for chips. Chips … hmm …
Coenzyme Q10: Definitely an ingredient worth befriending
Another one of ’em skincare ingredients that you should know about.
Makeup for Monolid/Asian Eyes
Marlena did a great job on the eye makeup (LOVE the colours she used), but I couldn’t help but wonder if she should have done that tutorial on an Asian model with single eyelids instead. Still, I think the look works on all types of eyes, so do check it out.
So You Want a Review Sample
I’ve never actually emailed a PR company to request for samples before. It was always the PR companies who contacted me first. The husband encouraged me to contact these people if I want to expand my beauty blog further, especially to the Australian market. Would it be too much? Would I be selling myself out? I don’t know, what do you think?
Simply Breakfast
This website barely contains words, mostly only photographs of breakfasts, or as they put it, the ART of breakfast. I love the site, although everytime I look at a newly posted photo, I look at my own breakfast of Milo and peanut-butter “loti” (bread), and sigh “why can’t you be more like that?”

My Very Own Sephora-Inspired Makeup Brush Holder
Took me long enough to do this!
I’m really excited about this, because finally, after almost a year of searching, I managed to get the right tools for my Sephora-inspired makeup brush holder. I’ve been wanting something like this for ages, but believe it or not, tiny vase fillers aren’t all that easy to find.
I’ve been scouring thrift stores, $2 stores, florists, etc to find the exact type of vase fillers I wanted for my holder, but all of them were either too big (like marbles), or too fine and scratchy (almost like sand). I needed something smooth which would not scratch the handles of my brushes. Lo and behold, when I was at Chadstone a few days ago, I found this at Wheel & Barrow.
The textured highball glass was even on sale, so I was quick to snap it up as well. The drops weren’t cheap though; they were double the price of the glass!
Still, I’m very happy with my brush holder, and can finally display it proudly, along with my regularly-used brushes, on my dresser. I almost don’t even care about having to wipe dust off the brushes every now and then 😛
