Orange I Lucky I Found These! (Featuring Crabtree & Evelyn, Origins, Weleda and Crazy Rumors)

Orange I Lucky I Found These! (Featuring Crabtree & Evelyn, Origins, Weleda and Crazy Rumors)

Oh come on, I’m sure you saw that title coming. I just had to pun it out; it’s wrong not to! ๐Ÿ˜›

Now if you know me well and have been on the blog long enough, you’ll know that I am craaaay-zy for anything with citrus scents, particularly oranges. I don’t know what it is about the smell but I simply adore it. My husband, on the other hand, thinks I’m bonkers to have so many orange-scented products at home. I have the fruit, orange-scented candles, essential oils, creams, lotions and potions enough to drive people nuts with citrus overload. He thinks that I should just soak myself in a vat of orange juice and be done with it. Men. What do they know? Hmph.

Last year, I showed you some beauty goodies that make good citrus scents (okay I’ll stop!). I thought I’d show you more today that I really like. If you’re into citrus scents like me, do check ’em out!

Nanoblur: It’s Photoshop In A Tube!

Nanoblur: It's Photoshop In A Tube!

I’ve heard of the Nanoblur on a number of of US and British beauty blogs and YouTube videos for a while now. It was quite a hit and when I finally saw this at Priceline, I quickly snapped it up to try. Look 10 years younger in 40 seconds or less? What miraculous claim is this? Sounds like hokum, doesn’t it?

Or so I thought! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Description:
Immediate correction of the appearance of skin aging, including the look of lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, sagginess and enlarged pores. Our Promise: look 10 years or more younger in 40 seconds or less. This advanced optical cream erases the appearance of skin aging, lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, sagginess and enlarged pores within seconds without any tint. Essential for meetings, events and dates.

Nanoblur Ingredients

It’s a very light silicone-y cream. It’s not as slippery as primers like Benefit’s POREfessional or Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer but it does have a velvety texture that slides on the skin. It dries very quickly on the skin and when it does, the skin doesn’t look lined anymore. Don’t believe me? Try it out in stores on the back of your hand. Spread it just on one half of the back of your hand and compare it to the other half. You’ll see a signification reduction of lines. No kidding!

Nanoblur

This is one strange product. It feels like makeup primer but you don’t use it under makeup like all primers. This is to be applied ON TOP of makeup. I didn’t read the box properly when I bought the Nanoblur so the first thought in my mind when I read that this was to be applied over base makeup, I was like EHH??

Nanoblur Swatch

To satisfy my curiosity, I tried this out as soon as I could. I wanted to see if it lived up to its claims. Look 10 years younger in 40 seconds or less? Pfft. I applied this all over my face especially on the nooks and crannies of my nose (hello big pores!). So, how did this fare? Did I look 23 in 40 seconds or less? ๐Ÿ˜›

L’Oreal Wild Ombrรฉ Hair Colour Workshop Competition Winners!

First of all, thank you so much for participating in the competition for the hair colour workshop I’ll be hosting with L’Oreal. I’ll be honest; I was incredibly anxious the first couple of days after the workshop was announced. Although the response of the workshop was good (people were excited about it but wished it was in Sydney, Malaysia, etc instead), I had a small number of entries (most likely due to it being on a weekday). So much so I became very worried that I may not even get enough numbers to run the workshop!

Thanks to my fellow bloggers who so kindly helped me spread the word about the workshop, I have more than enough numbers for the workshop to actually happen, I also have more than enough entries to give away the hair colour and care kits. This goes to show that the beauty blogging community is one you can rely on for support and encouragement when things aren’t going as smoothly as you hoped. A huge thanks to all who helped me spread the word. You took my dropped stomach off my feet and calmed my heart that was going a million miles an hour. ๐Ÿ™‚

The competition is now closed and I’m happy to announce the 10 entrants whom I’ll have the pleasure of meeting on Tuesday, 2 July 2013.

See you soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

Note: From now on, all winners of giveaways and competitions will be announced in the Competition/Giveaway Winners page instead of separate blog posts. This will allow me to announce winners without having to announce them in separate blog posts, which will save me some time. Just head over to that page and see if you’ve won any competitions/giveaways on Beautyholics Anonymous!

Rush, Rush, Hurry, Hurry Lover Come To Me … Sings Sunday Riley’s Blush in Rush

You know the best part about having a bestie that loves blushes and bags just as much as you do? You get to borrow and play with them anytime you like! ๐Ÿ˜€

That’s LeGeeque and I. When she gets a new blush, I get to play with it. When I get one, she gets to play with it too. It’s a great way to try out new makeup without having to buy them first. We don’t have cooties so loaning of makeup (just blushes and eyeshadows, of course) between the two of us is A-okay. ๐Ÿ˜›

Sunday Riley Blush in Rush

Today’s blush doesn’t actually belong to me. It’s LeGeeque’s. I’ve been meaning to try out this particular shade by Sunday Riley but just when I wanted to get it, it was sold out. LeGeeque has the same shade so I thought I’d try hers out instead. This was on loan and I liked to so much, I thought I’d do a review on it too.
