Last week, I recreated one of the looks from Megan Gale’s LMFF 2013 campaign. It played a lot on the eyes; lots of grey, heaps of navy blue eyeliner, purple under the eye and yellow around the inner corners. Colours were emphasised on the eyes and the lips were left quite neutral with a rosy pink.
Today’s look recreation is going to be the opposite. In Autumn Siren, we are underplaying the eys but completely vamping out the lips. This is my favourite look so far because oh, the lips! The lips!

This purple compact landed on my desk for editorial consideration late last year. I’ll be honest, when I first opened the compact, I wasn’t too impressed. The packaging was rather bland for my taste and the enclosed sponge was just useless (I chucked it as soon as I tore the plastic wrapping off the cardboard). In other words, it looked like a dark, uninteresting compact.
Still, I thought I’d give it a go and see if the powder’s just as meh as the packaging. You never know, it might surprise me. And it did. 🙂
