How to Apply Mascara For Maximum Oomph

This may not be new to makeup aficionados, but it’s some a trick I stumbled upon last month when I was in Sydney for the Beauty Bloggers Utopia. Norlin and I shared a hotel room, and given the lack of mirrors and good lighting, I did all of my makeup by the window using my handheld mirror. By the way, it’s a good item to bring with you when travelling, especially a medium-sized foldable mirror. You never know if your hotel room has crappy mirrors and lighting. Daiso sells them very cheaply.
Bloggie Wednesdays: There’s Only So Many Social Media Platforms I Can Take

© Kexino
Hands up if you any of you were on Friendster and MySpace. Hands up if you even remember what they were. *hand shoots up* 😉
Friendster was the very first social media platform I got on board in 2004. My friends were on it, and it was where my husband and I got in touch again after graduating from university. As for MySpace … nah, that did not work for me at all. I only got on that for the blog and even so, I never clicked with it. There was just too much going on on MySpace. Interestingly, I still get messages from Christina Aguilera time to time. Yeah we’re *this* close 😛
Next came Facebook. Then Twitter. Smartphones meant lots of pictures for Instagram. Google Plus came. Then the very popular Pinterest. Don’t let me stop there. Come 2020 there’s probably going to be double that amount of social media platforms. Oh boy.
Of all the platforms there are out there, the only ones that have really worked for me are Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I use Twitter for, well, just about everything. Things sure have changed from the days when people would just update what they ate, when they’re going to sleep, and so on. You can use these platforms to properly engage with people and even brands now.
Matte-ing It Up with Bioderma Sebium Mat Anti-Shine Fluid
Remember when I told you about Caudalie’s Vinosource Moisturizing Matifying Fluid? Man, I loved that moisturiser. It was a sad day for me when I squeezed out its very last drop. Oh I know, I can easily get it online these days, but having to wait for the item to arrive all the way from the US or UK … well, let’s just say I don’t do very well with delayed gratification, okay? 😛

Thank goodness for another French brand that has a similar product, which I can easily get in Melbourne. When the Bioderma Sebium Mat Anti-Shine Fluid landed on my desk, I caressed it like a baby while muttering “you better work for me like Caudalie did, you hear?”
And it did!
