Last week I showed you some recommendations on skincare under $10, $20 and $50. It was a doozy doing that because there were so many good and affordable items to choose from. Today, I’m going to show you my makeup cheapie picks. It wasn’t as easy as I thought.
Thanks (or no thanks) to Google shutting down Feedburner’s API today (20 October), I had to look for alternatives to maintaing the feed for Beautyholics Anonymous. I’ve recently switched to Feedblitz, and am currently in the process of migrating the feed, email subscribers, etc.
What does this mean for you?
Unfortunately, Google Reader doesn’t allow you to edit the feed link, so you’ll have to subscribe to this new link and delete the old one. If you’re subscribed to my blog via BlogLovin’, you’re not affected at all.
No, really, what does this mean for you?
Other than updating your RSS reader to my feed, there’s nothing else you need to do but to please bear with me while the blog does its updates and changes behind the scenes for you. You should still be getting blog updates on your RSS reader and via email (if you’ve subscribed to my blog via email).
You don’t have to do anything else. Hopefully.
Fingers crossed this migration will be smooth one. If not, well, you’ll see my rants on Twitter soon enough 😛

My style icon: Ooooh this is tough, as honestly, I just like to take certain trends and use them in ways that work for me. I do love Lauren Conrad and Blair Waldorf (yes, the character from Gossip Girl not Leighton Meester lol) though. I also adore Audrey Hepburn as she was just so effortlessly elegant and sophisticated. Love classic looks, accented with accessories.
Dream holiday destination: Cannes and the French Riviera. I’ve never been and it always looks so stunning in pictures.
One random thing you can find in my bag: Random? I don’t know… bobby pins?! I have like an endless supply in my bags but can never find one when I need it! Also I always carry an umbrella, I do live in Melbourne after all and it’s known for having 4 seasons in one day.
My favourite item of makeup: Blush. Oh and I’m a total sucker for highlighters/illuminators too!
You will never see me without: My phone, sounds bad I know but I’m obsessed with Twitter and Instagram lol
I’m absolutely addicted to: Shopping. Duh. It’s all in the name 😛
One thing on my bucket list: Road trip across the USA, from LA to NY. Which we’re actually planning to do next year! Can. Not. Wait.

Blush or bronzer?
Blush, most definitely. It’s my favourite item of makeup. I love blush even more than lipstick (altogether now … *gasp!*). I have no problems stepping out of the house with no lipstick or lipgloss on, but never without blush. I can’t work with bronzer, but it’s mostly because I don’t really know how to. Whenever I’m at beauty counters, makeup artists tend to heap bronzer on me (I’m not THAT pale, am I?), and it makes me look downright awful. Once I had to step out of Mecca Cosmetica practically rubbing my face off. So blush, most definitely, bronzer … it’s still a work in progress.
