L’Oreal Nude Magique Anti-Redness CC Cream: Finally, A CC Cream That Corrects Colour! Or Does It?

BB, CC, DD creams. Are these double-alphabet creams ever going to come to an end? Needless to say, BB creams are the makeup du jour. Every other brand is coming up with one. Now there are even CC creams. CC creams claim to be the new and improved version of BB creams as it promises colour correction.

Sadly, none of the CC creams I’ve tried thus far offer what CC creams are meant to offer – the colour correction. The Rachel K and Chanel CC creams are merely BB creams. They work like foundation on the skin that provide sufficient coverage and even out the skin tone. There’s no balancing of redness or adding of brightness to the skin.

Lo and behold the new L’Oreal CC cream, which promises to neutralise redness for a perfect nude look. Now this is the colour correction I was waiting for! It acts with the redness on the skin. Finally, something that does what it claims.

Blush Fiends Issue #2: Throwing Hearts In Springtime

Look out, the Blush Fiends are back to bring you another blushing story about fighting the world against pastiness!

Today, it’s all about the springtime blush.

Now I know it’s strange talking about the blush I’d use in spring time given that it’s now autumn Down Under (and it feels as though summer isn’t even going to let up). As most of my fellow Blush Fiends are enjoying the pleasures of spring now (err, maybe not so pleasurable if hay fever is in the air :P), I thought I’d join in the fun and their season too. After the cold winter months, it’s time to add a pop of colour to the cheeks. For that, I’m going to sprinkle some hearts your way.
