Nailing It: ORLY Baked Collection Nail Polish in Neon Heat

ORLY Baked Collection Nail Polish in Neon Heat

Now you know me, it can be smack middle of winter and I’ll still be rocking neon nails. The concept of dark colours for winter never really sat well with me. For goodness’ sake, it’s already cold and dreary enough, why would I want to put more dark colours on? Amiright?

Screw winter, I’m putting on bright colours! On my nails, at least. ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, today I’d like to show you a gorgeous neon pink that isn’t just cheery for winter, it’s going to be perfect for summer too. It’s part of ORLY’s Baked collection and it’s called Neon Heat. It’s a stunning fuschia creme and when it’s on the nails, they look like gel nail polish.

A brand new and innovative formula the Baked colour collection has been infused with baked pigments, specialty micas, vitamins and minerals. The pigment in each Baked shade is milled to a micro fine particle size and then heat treated at high temperatures to ensure pigment easily disperses into the base.

ORLY Baked Collection Nail Polish in Neon Heat

Bright, fluoro shades like this usually tend to make my skin look tanned. Perhaps it’s the dreary winter but Neon Heat actually made my skin look fairer than it is!

The formula may appear to be thin and watery but it’s quite the contrary. It applies beautifully with no dragging or streaking. As I don’t wear the same nail polish for more than 3 days, it didn’t show any signs of chipping or tip wear during that time.

ORLY Baked collection nail polishes retail at AU$18.95 each and is available in 6 shades. ORLY nail polishes are available from selected pharmacies and salons nationwide. You can also get them online at OrlyBeauty.com.au.

Have you tried any of the ORLY Baked nail polishes? What are your thoughts on wearing bright nail polishes in winter?

Hmm, I didn’t know that you’re NOT supposed to wear bright nail polish in the winter…I say rock the colors you want, when you want!
This color in particular is a perfect counter to gray days.

I know right?? I don’t think they say you’re not supposed to wear bright nail polish in winter but I’m sure you’ve noticed only dark colours being launched for fall and winter. Boring, I say. ๐Ÿ˜›

Great post! I just tried neon polishes from L’Oreal, and while I loved the colors, I couldn’t get over the fact that they didnt completely go opaque – despite three coats. This ORLY one looks pretty opaque though!

Yeah I agree, a lot of their nail polishes don’t really go on opaque which is a shame because some of their shades are really pretty.
