I am from Uniondale, PA and the BEST present that I ever received is… an anniversary ring 18 years later. We were young and in love (with no money=no engagement ring). For our 18 year anniversary and my birthday, John gave me an anniversay ring. This is special since he put so much thought into it.

It was a present from my grandmother, who was insistent on a tradition of gifting gold or jewellery for important milestone birthdays like 21st birthdays. Since i’m not a big fan of gold or jewellery, we compromised and settled for the nose stud, which incidentally was my first diamond!

What made it so special? The message on it was “Happy Birthday PAM Ko!” which means, “happy birthday MY Pam”.. it was the first time he showed such gesture, like he’s telling everyone I belong to him, (he is just the shy-type).. so there.. after that, we went to Starbucks (with my office close friends) to have more fun.

Yeah mine always fall during exam period so ppl tend to forget, so i don’t even about think about receiving presents. So i was pleasantly surprise when my bunch of buddies got me gift (just before exams) haha… i had a fun time opening it n then packing them away for exams. Was really happy n it was a miracle i could get through the exams in such a state.
